-Initially, rumor had it that star of Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen would be the focus of a spinoff for the CW series. However, Variety claims that a new series in the early stages of development will focus on one of the main nine characters of the show and that an episode from this season's GG will test out the spinoff storyline.
