Meryl Streep stars as a grizzled head nun at a parochial school in the early 60s who goes to war with a priest (the always on point Phillip Seymour Hoffman) who she suspects molested a student. Amy Adams plays a novice nun who is caught between them. This is going to be one of those go-for-the-gut movies that every little tyke at the Actor's Studio should watch.
Note the first lady of film (Meryl Streep) and the first lady of the theatre (Cherry Jones) photographed together! How did the camera not crack from the presence of such acting genius! Cherry originated Meryl's role on stage and won the Tony. It's usually pretty sucky when the movie studio doesn't use the original actress, but if you're going to replace Cherry - Meryl's your lady. And check out Amy Adams looking stunning in that red number. She is so gorgeous out of her wimple!

I'm seeing this for sure! Amy Adams is so cute and Meryl Streep is one of those rare and actually deserving acting icons; undoubtedly one of the best actresses I've ever seen.
