A blogger for the Huffington Post responded to the criticism that Nicole Kidman is box office poison for potential blockbusters.
Melissa Silverstein contends that male actors in a similar quandry, like her Australia co-star Hugh Jackman for example, are not held under the same scrutiny.
"Women have a harder time being franchise players," she writes and claims that sexism is behind the heavy criticism being levied on Kidman in reference to Australia's performance at the box office.

Edgy is not her thing. If you have a cool nature and look, go for broad slapstick comedy, cry, rant and rage, scheme and get "I Love Lucy" redhead proud hilarious once in a while.

What is sad is that at the beginning of her career she was lovely and I really enjoyed watching her movies. Then she fell under Tom Cruise's spell and he molded her into the ice queen she has become. He's doing the same thing to Katie Holmes now.

I have been to seen epic Australia movie twice I love it, my families and friends have been to seen too, they told me that to give this movie for 6 stars, because all of them the stars. I suggest everyone to see it Don't hate Nicole, if she does not do this movie who will do it, the weather very hot up to 40-45 degrees. She suitable for this roll more than other actress. She is happy now, we should happy with her too. She suffered to long for the first married and her interview she mention to her two children all the time. God give her a precious thing she wants.
