The woman in question, Paula Goodspeed, had been harassing Paula for "17 years" and committed suicide via drug overdose in front of Paula's house last month.
Paula told Barbara Walters recently that she felt like she had been put in the line of fire of a potentially dangerous person.
"I would not put a dangerous person or a person I thought was even remotely dangerous in front of the judges for the simple reason that you wouldn't [want to] contaminate the show by taking that risk. You just wouldn't do it," Warwick said.
As for Abdul's job following her complaints? Is it stable? There IS a new female judge on the panel this season. Will she be taking over the Xanax-influenced judging duties of Ms. Abdul?
"There's never been any discussion that we would want to get rid of Paula -- even if there were people in production that didn't like her. [Her job is] not in any jeopardy. America loves Paula. She's an integral part of this program, and as far as I'm concerned, I hope she's there 'til the day it comes off the air."
He's no fool. Paula Abdul's eyes rolling into the back of her skull and slurring and applauding IS that show.
