One major casting change taking place in New Moon, the Twilight follow-up will be the replacement of young actor Taylor Lautner in the pivotal role of Jacob Black.
And according to the Facebook page of Scorpion King 2 actor Michael Copon, he's going to be the new Jacob. It's also been confirmed that 27-year-old actor Ben Barnes who recently starred in Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is being considered for the role of the vampire Aro.
All of this is circumspect, of course, except for the news that Chris Weitz will be directing the picture. But they better hurry up because filming starts in about 2.8 seconds.

I hope everyone stops getting their panties in a bunch over this. This is a good thing. After seeing Twilight, one of the first things I said to myself was, "How in the world was this scrawny kid gonna play Jacob in New Moon?"
