The physique of 16-year-old Taylor Lautner is waxing as he claims to have gained 19 pounds since wrapping production on Twilight. The teenager is hoping to secure his role of Jacob Black in the sequel to the vampire romance after word that he might be replaced with a more mature-looking actor came from the film's production company Summit Entertainment.
"I have been working out. I've been working out since the day we finished filming Twilight," Lautner told MTV the day after word spread that Scorpion King 2 star Michael Copon had updated his Facebook status with the assertion that he was the favorite to take on the role of Jacob.
Lautner's not the only one hoping to stay in the film franchise. Co-star Ashley Greene told People magazine, "He is the teen heartthrob...I'm hoping that they don't replace him because we love him." Well, the clock is ticking and I only hope that Taylor doesn't roid out over this. He's too cute for stretch marks and well...this.

Taylor IS Jacob Black on and off screen. I have never seen an actor embrace a role as much as Taylor has. It's almost impossible to separate him from Jacob. He already has a solid fan base, and replacing him would be a huge mistake on Summit's part. I just wish they'd tell us that Taylor has the part. My ulcers are not fairing well with the suspense *LOL*

I think Taylor could pull it off. I mean, having to read New Moon was boring enough (until edward came back:D) and watching 2 hours with some other dude as Jacob would just be hell. the movie will crash and burn without him, considering all the people who are like, totally pissed that they're considering replacing him.
