Eartha was the hottest of the hot and was best known for her rendition of "Santa Baby" and for making the role of Catwoman her own on the old Batman TV show.
Kitt was a performer to the end, and even taped a PBS special in Chicago six week ago, that will air in February. According to her website, Kitt was nominated for a Tony three times, and a Grammy and Emmy twice, according to her website.
She was also a free thinker, and activist. Kitt was notorious for speaking out against the Vietnam War at a White House luncheon in 1968, which basically kayoed her career for the next ten years.
Eartha was one of the greats, with a distinctive style all her own and she will be missed. Enjoy her rendition of "Santa Baby."
