BREAKING: John Travolta's Son Jett Dies

omg that is terrible... my condolences goes out to his family... RIP Jett...

I had no idea his son was such a fat, ugly, lardass.

A child has died, a couple's beloved son is gone forever. If the child was overweight or suffered from a disability, is the pain for the parents any less? I don't think the Travoltas are thinking about the celebrity status they hold at this griefstricken time.

Oralb-you are a moron. The kid was autistic and since they were scientologists he was never even brought out in public. Imagine having to live hidden away in the attic (so to speak) then after dying tragically at such a young age fools like yourself make stupid remarks. Crawl back into your hole and stay there. A child died after he was denied much of a life when he should have had every resource on earth available to him due to his parent's status and income.

My condolences to the family, my heart goes out to you! I have a 16 year old and would be positively devastated if I lost her.

My heart goes out to the Travoltas. Whatever you may think of them or their beliefs, no one deserves to watch their son die.

I can't help wondering if anything Scientology related came into play here. Since they believe psychology is the devil and most likely deprived their son of any medication did that play a hand in his unfortunate and early death?

Is this sad? Unquestionably, but I wonder if it could have been prevented.

You are not born with Kawasaki disease. The most common way to get is from carpet cleaning and not airing it out properly. My thoughts are with the Travolta family dealing with the loss of a child.

A year or two ago, I saw a Barbara Walters special and John Travolta was one of the celebrities she was interviewing. Before the interview, Travolta gave a tour of his estate and during it, Jett and a "assistant" rolled up in a golf cart. My first impression of seeing him was of how overweight he seemed, but after a minute of seeing him(he never spoke and there wasn't any dialogue going on, just Barbara speaking in the voice-over during the interview), I got the impression that Jett was mentally-disabled. He seemed really out of it, not speaking, no direct eye contact but smiling a lot, and then I felt bad for thinking of how overweight he first seemed when I first saw him. Maybe not autistic, just really, excuse the term, retarded.

It does not matter if the child, Jett, was disabled. That is his family's business. What matters is that a child has died for this family and they are having to deal with it. Lets give them some respect and privacy in regards to this.

The Travolta's are a wonderful family. Their stardom hasn't let them forget that they are infact family. Very rarely do Stars stay together and they have set high standards for others to follow. I can't imagine loosing a child. I am happy for them that Jett was a child they were able to hold, love, and cherish even if it was only for 16 years. Someday the great memories will make them smile on a daily basis. Until that time my hope for John, Kelly, Ella and their entire extended family is to find strength in all those that truly care, use the shoulders that are there for them, and know that there are so many people around the world that morn for them as well as with them.
