Miley Cyrus did something pretty cool for New Year's Eve.
Alison Kaprielian is a high school senior who set up a Pink Ribbon charity to benefit breast cancer, after her Mom was diagnosed with the disease.
Alison is a gigantic Miley fan, so Cyrus surprised the teenager with $15,000 check for her charity AND played a special New Year's Eve surprise performance at Alison's high school, Beckham High in Irvine, CA. There was a specially built stage and everything.
Normally Miley's chipmunky ways can grate on the nerves, but this was some kindness. Her boyfriend Justin Gaston, who's totally using her, managed not to leap in front of the camera.
Well, it was televised and everything on MTV on New Year's Eve but still...

Hey, lay off the hate. Miley did something very good for herself and her community. Even though I didn't get to go to my own high school to watch this event, as I was on vacation, she changed the thoughts of many people of what path she is taking. Miley actually took and entire day, of her own request, out of her busy life (and it was a holiday) to please Alison and show her that she does care about other people than herself. Talking to many friends, they were all surprised on how nice, humane, and giving Miley is.
