Heath Ledger was among the winners in the film category for the 66th annual Golden Globes held by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The Dark Knight actor was posthumously awarded the prize for his turn as the Joker in the Batman film.
Kate Winslet accepted her award for her turn in Revolutionary Road, opposite her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as for supporting actress in The Reader.
Mickey Rourke, clearly on a career upswing, won big for his movie The Wrestler. But the big winner in the drama category was the Danny Boyle-directed film Slumdog Millionaire, winner of the picture, director, original score and screenplay.
On the comedic end of things, Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona for Best Picture, Musical or Comedy.
