Angelina Jolie, who already has one Oscar under her lithe, alabaster arm, has given a statement in regards to her Oscar nomination for Best Actress this morning for her role in the Changeling.
She called it a "a privilege beyond any expectation."
"Working with Clint Eastwood was a reward in itself that will last me a lifetime," she said. "It has been an exceptional year for acting, and I am honored to be in the company of these talented actors whose performances all deserve this recognition."
Jolie plays a single mother in 1920s Los Angeles whose little boy is kidnapped. The incredibly shifty cops then gave her a kid back that wasn't hers, and she ended up being institutionalized while trying to find out what happened to her real son. It's based on a true story, which is fairly horrific. Yeah, uh, this isn't my kid. I mean, he's cute and all but this isn't like replacing an ottoman or a parrot, assholes.
