Director
Danny Boyle and his movie
Slumdog Millionaire continued
their wildly successful run
this awards season by nabbing the Directors Guild of America top prize.
The film was awarded the DGA feature award, beating out
The Dark Knight,
Milk,
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and
Frost/Nixon.
This award is usually a pretty good predictor of Oscar success, so
Danny might want to go ahead and get that speech ready for the big
night. I love this awards show! It's 90% nerdy guys in guits! And I
mean REAL nerds, not the American Apparel kind.
And the other 10% was hot people--the
Christian Bale and
Marisa Tomei kind of hot.
