It seems as if the process of trying to contain the embarrassing photo of Michael Phelps
smoking a bong at a college party might potentially cause the
record-breaking swimmer more of a predicament than the act itself.
The company representing Phelps, Octagon, reportedly attempted to bribe the tabloid not to run the photo. I guess that's embarrassing and all, but I guess I'd be more upset if he were a airline pilot or an elementary school bus driver.
Somehow, the image of him swimming wobbly in the lanes of his training pool doesn't frighten me as much as perhaps it should.

Do some research! alcohol is worse than marijuana. You could never od smoking weed it's almost impossible, but you can die from alcohol poisoning. Going through withdraw from alcohol can kill you, weed is NOT physically addicting. Even cigarettes are physically addicting. Countless people a year die from drinking and driving. Independent studies(I know are sketchy) showed that people drove more cautiously when high rather than completely sober. Not to mention that I have never heard of anyone becoming mad with rage from smoking pot. Countless people become enraged when they drink. Marijuana also has medicinal purposes. Anyone who has had a loved one going through chemo will understand & appreciate like I do the help pot can bring to ease their pain & nausea and help them eat. Not to mention the fabric you can make from hemp lasts at least 2x longer than cotton. Someone please tell me a good reason pot is illegal. Even in the states where medical marijuana is legal you can still be arrested for possession b/c federal law overrides state law.
