Chris Brown is under investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery.
"The identity of the victim will not be released," said Officer April Harding. "Any victim who's involved in a domestic violence incident is entitled to confidentiality."
Officer Harding added: "If police locate Brown, yes, he's subject to arrest." When police arrived on the scene the victim was there, but Chris Brown wasn't.
Earlier Saturday night Brown and Rihanna were at the Recording Academy and Clive Davis's Pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills.
Both Brown and girlfriend Rihanna were scheduled to perform at the Grammys, but this statement was released Sunday evening: "We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight's 51st Annual Grammy Awards. We're sorry she is unable to join us this evening."
Around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, the R&B singer and a woman were in a vehicle in L.A. when they became involved in an argument, according to a police statement. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The LAPD received a 911 call reporting the disturbance.
When asked about Rihanna's well being, her rep told People, "Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support."

This sounds suspicous.I don't even like him dont get his hype but at what point does a guy not hit back. So she accuses him of THINKING OF CHEATING and he hits her. Or she hits him repeatedly while making accusationsand he retaliates. One would logically think did he cheat, no, if he looked which is human nature he held himself back. Don't get me wrong, no man should hit a woman. I think Chris Brown is more like the victim. Chris was really in true love with her( a lil too obsessed) and she may have been cheating( a lil slutish). Afterall, she was trying to take Jay- Z from Beyonce once upon a time. It's really sad that it has come to this but hopefully this doesn't ruin his or her career moreso his. I'm really stuck in between the two, I like both of their music. I wish things would have gone a different way but, When young and in love its hard being faithful. They both were trying to make a commitment to one another and also being the fast life doesn't quite cut it. Temptation is everywhere. I knew it wouldn't last long and I also knew infidelity would be their disaster. Sooooo Sad..... My prayers are with them both.
