After some embarrassing photos were taken of young tween idol Miley Cyrus
in which she was pulling her eyelids at a slant, the pop star found
herself explaining that her actions were not intended to be interpreted
as racist toward Asians.
Perhaps out of deference for the people's she may or may not have offended, or maybe just because she was hungry, but the singer was spotted only yesterday at Sushi Q in Hollywood and in these pictures from earlier this month, she was spotted leaving a Chinese restaurant.
And in case you were wondering, her holey tights are a little shout-out to the Swiss and their delectable cheese.

really? are/were asian folks really offended by that photograph? i have no idea, since i am not asian. i do have one asian pal, who viewed the photo and 'pshaw-ed' it and said 'who freakin cares? dumb girl.'
but i am curious if my friend is the exception or the rule. and has the media blown yet another issue up into a far bigger deal than it really is?

I think it was good media brought it to public attention. at the same time that other woman pressing law suit is probably going too far with this.
Miley's mistake was more to do with her insincere apology, of saying people took her "goofy face" the wrong way. she should have just sincerely said she was just being childish and got caught in the moment, and she is very sorry to those that are hurt.
she is a role model to kids. it is not good for children to grow up think racist actions are ok, being explained by being young.

my friend's asian (chinese) and i thought asians werent offended by the picture but when i brought it up she sed she found it quite offensive and shes a fan of hers....
