I think that he is tortured and needs help and not ridicule. I hope he gets it. Private citizens have the luxury of not having our humiliations/meltdowns televised. I can't imagine living my life in such a fish bowl while holding it together at all times. I wish him well.

This man has fallen off his rocker. He appears to be suffering from psychosis. Apparently he has gotten a hold of the wrong stuff and it's left him a basket cake. Family should intervene and get help or at least get him mentally evaluated.

Piper I agree, his family and friends need to do an intervention, theres clearly something mentally wrong with him.

That was a sad video. He probably feels nervous due to all the flack he has been taking over his change in careers (I've seen the rap video and it is scary) but something seems wrong. I feel sorry for him. Dave did the best he could under the circumstances. It is like when Britney was obviously having issues and people following her with cameras just hoping to get some crazy shit and then they wonder why she tried to hide from the cameras. I can't imagine the public humiliation.

I think this man is a genius. He's not crazy or on drugs, he's just showing people that David Letterman and the whole "Hollywood machine" is ridiculous. You can get away with almost anything these days, including growing a long beard and deciding to persude a hip-hop/acting career, or go to rehab multiple times or show your vagina to the paparazzi. I think he really put David Letterman in his place. Just because he's been around for a long time and is still successful doesn't mean that he can make jokes at another's expense. Especially when HE feels uncomfortable.

Yeah - this one is interesting.... I think he has a history of making movies and then retreating from public life. I think it all started when his older brother, River, died from an overdose right in front of him. He also seems to be a very sensitive being, guessing by the causes he fights for (PETA, Amnesty International & other peace organizations) and the amount of charity work he does. I think he had odd parents and a strange childhood as well. Who knows. Drugs play a part, I'm sure. The interesting thing is he's mentally well enough to take direction and do a great job of acting on multi-million dollar movie deals, right? hmmmmm....

Another rich actor trying to manipulate Hollywood. Give me a break! This guy is so far up Hollywood's ass that he knows he can go back to acting whenever he wants. His pathetic attempt at music will have him in his next film in no time. Just you watch.

I really am over the "brooding artist" act that a lot of these actors try to pull.

Get over yourself and stick to what you know. We don't need the speculation and drama of another spoiled actor
