It's D-Day for Chris Brown, who was set to be arraigned today for felony battery charges after roughing up (ex?) girlfriend Rihanna.
Of course, there's rumblings the LAPD doesn't have enough incriminating information, Rihanna isn't being cooperative, there's a "deal in the works" and he'll just be slapped with a kittenish misdemeanor, etc.
In fact, Sandi Gibbons, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles DA even told reporters late last night that they had "filed nothing" and it was "still under investigation by the police."
But perhaps the most vomit-inducing news item to surface today is that Chris Brown alerted the paparazzi that he'd be vacationing with Rihanna and Diddy in Miami.
According to Page Six:
"Chris tipped off the photographers. He needs it to be out there that he and Rihanna are back together. His only chance for a career was if she got back together with him, and he wanted people to see them there."
Nice try, Chris. Unfortunately, to the rest of the world you just kinda looked like a woman beater on vacation jet skiing.

Wow, nothing surprises me with this whole story! I wonder if it were a white man and a black woman would society being reacting differently? If that were the case, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson would be marching to Washington and if the police treated it like they are now it would be chalked up to racism! Sad-where are they now? This behavior is unacceptable and so is Rihannas if she is indeed back with him!

Of course. This whole thing is a publicity stunt. At least that's how it's working because Brown and Rihana are both getting a lot of publicity. She's been on at least 6 magazine covers in just 3 weeks.
