'New Moon' Wolf Pack Cast Members Revealed

It's really appalling that Twilight will actually follow the (not very good) book, while the people making Avatar: the last airbender have gone completely the other way. I wonder if that Jackson kid thinks his new cast members just got a tan and shaved their sideburns? Yes, that's what he really said about how he'd prepare to play a non-white character for Avatar. Apparently, you don't read very carefully. Tinsel is not mentioned in the write up copy, only in the listing of who is pictured and who she is playing. If you read carefully, it identifies "Native American actors Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman". Nowhere in there does it say Tinsel Korey.

Where someone is born doesn't dictate what race they are. Her parents could be Native American and she happened to be born in India. She may be Native American and not even know it.

I think this is a great cast.. who cares what nationality they are. If they correlate well with the character in the book and can act it out well, I don't see a problem.

I liked the original Embry bettter, and although I didn't much like the original Sam, I liked him better than I like the guy who is playing him now. Quil is...okay. He has that whole goofy thing going on, and that's kind of how I see him. Jared is a DISASTER. I like Emily, although I pictured her as Leah. (Is anybody else pissed that she's not going to be in New Moon?) And they better being wearing some special shoes or something, because the don't look very tall in other pics.

Leah won't have a roll in the new moon movie because she didn't have anything but a very limited mention in the book... her real character comes out in the third book when the training becomes a factor.. You'll see her more in the third movie if it's made..

I personally think that they made a huge mistake casting these people as Quiletes . Well, the girls are okay and Taylor too, but the other guys...wow...really big mistake. They are gonna have to spend alot of time putting on makeup to make them look dark skinned. And wearing wigs for the first part then making their hair shorter for the next part. Wow, i wonder what the casting directors were thinking when they casted these guys as Quilete werewolves?! Once again, HUGE MISTAKE!!!!!! PLEASE DON'T RUIN THE MOVIE YOU GUYS, PLEASE!!!!!

I agree, the six packs aren't what make the books/movies great. When the books came out, no one could tell what the characters looked like but they were still a huge success.

And i have a question for all the haters:

well this kinda makes me mad that not all the Quilute cast is going to be Native, because I am actually a Native, and I would like to see SOME Natives on the big screen.

I know people who waited at the casting. they were asking for Status cards at some places but not everyone. I wonder why not. First, its is your opinion that the books were bad. I haven't read them but two of my friends (one girl and one guy) have, and they have pretty good sense on what makes a story 'good.' And I think the majority of girls around the world disagree. So my friends plus every other girl on the planet beats that argument to a pulp.

I'm not gonna see either movie till I read the books cause I'm just like that. (its because of the Harry Potter and all the Marvel movies that have come out).

Second, the James Cameron directed Avatar movie has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Nickelodeon original animated series Avatar: the Last Airbender. NOTHING. Lets try it again, NOTHING.
For whatever reason that Cameron/Producers/the marketing team had, they used the same font style as the popular cartoon. The movie is not about Aang and his 'hero's journey', but (SPOILER ALERT) about a once crippled Marine who travels to an alien rain forest moon (Pandora) by way of Human/Na'vi hybrid avatars. Look up the definition of Avatar if you need help understanding the concept

Don't base your weak arguments on horribly researched facts :)
