Zac Efron had script approval for Footloose, in which he was cast as the lead, but after the last rewrite decided to pull out of the project.
The 21-year-old actor, who currently stars in a film that has him playing a 37-year-old trapped in a 17-year-old's body, doesn't want to add another musical to his resume. He's not a trained monkey, guys! You can't expect him to dance when you throw shiny coins at him!
