Determined not to be typecast as the-teenage-boy-who-sings, Zac Efron may have discovered the perfect dark, depressing, grown-up role for his career.
The super pretty actor is planning to re-team with 17 Again director Burr Steers for an adaptation of the novel "The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud," according to Variety.
The book, written by "Good Morning America" producer (and apparent Renaissance man) Ben Sherwood, is about a cemetery caretaker who talks to dead people. Zac's depiction of the role won't be completely Bruce Willis, though - he can only communicate with his younger brother, whose accidental death he blames himself for. Nothing like keepin' those dead people around to clear your conscience!
Production on the movie doesn't begin until July, so Zac will have a few more months to finish being 17 Again.
