What? No more complaining about how inadequate the writing has been for Dr. Izzie Stevens?
It seems that now that Katherine Heigl's character on Grey's Anatomy is suffering from a life-threatening disease, with a possible death lurking around every episode, Heigl is realizing how tenuous her unemployment is.
"I don't know if I live or die. I don't know how Izzie fares," Heigl admitted. "I'm there if Izzie remains part of Grey's Anatomy," the Emmy-winning actress confessed. Ha! Suddenly, she's seeing her TV life flash before her eyes.

Maybe I'm naive, and I didn't actually hear her say the writing comments, but it sounded like she was trying to be humble. Like any soap opera, sometimes characters fade into the background for other story lines. I hope she gets to keep her role. My opinion, fwiw, is that she just speaks her mind instead of filtering her words through Hollywood-ese. I'd rather have honesty than the BS that most of them speak.

Ridiculous article. She makes more $ from a single movie (over $6 million for her latest) than an entire season of Grey's and has 3 or 4 films in the pipeline.
Heigl doesn't need Grey's for anything - if she wants to stay its because she enjoys it and wants to do the work.
Good luck to her she is a fine actress and I for one am really tired of the media constantly attacking her. Go target someone who deserves vilification because Katherine Heigl certainly does not.

She's hardly hurting for dough (she was the 5th highest paid actress in Hollywood last year behind Jolie, Roberts, Witherspoon and Diaz), and she's not hurting for film work (as soon as Grey's wraps for the season she begins filming another movie), so I don't think the spectre of unemployment is a factor in her desire to remain on Grey's.

On the topic. it looks like she's starting to sound HUMBLE and GREATFUL for her job. At least she's a bit smarter now about the biz.

Practically all the gossip sites trashed her for being a diva, not just this site. I think she's annoying and not the gratest actress. I can't believe she rated number 5 on the highest paid actresses list.

Katherine was THE cutest kid when she was in that film as a skinny teen with that famous French actor, Gerard. While she is quite talented, she is far from PC, and comes off as being ungrateful for the show that gave her the fame and exposure that catapulted her into mainstream Hollywood. I hate ingrates. She does need to atone with her words, and more public praise of Shonda Rimes. It seems as though her negativity has rubbed off on her girlfriend and gossip buddy, T.R. Night. It's "a wrap" for him now. He's just not that interesting to find movie work.
