With the dual goal of promoting her new book Eight Little Faces and taking on rumors of that her husband, Jon Gosselin, is engaged in an extramarital affair, star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 Kate Gosselin sat down with Meredith Vieira on the Today show for an interview.
Kate chose not to go into much detail when discussing the situation, currently the focus of several tabloids, telling Vieira, "We're dealing with it privately," and adding that she is "hesitant to believe" the allegations made against her husband.
"It's kind of ironic since we do have a reality show and people see the good, the bad and the ugly. But there are those things we keep to ourselves, and we're working through it together, and that's the important thing," said the mother of eight. Check out the video of the interview after the jump.
I swear, is there a single marriage that has survived a reality TV show? It never works. But it might work for me...

I saw the interview and it was just ridiculous. Especially when Kate claimed her husband was just out on a friendly drink with the other woman. Why didn't Viera ask why her husband wasn't wearing his wedding ring?
What is most deplorable about this show is that Jon Gosselin isn't working and of course his wife isn't working outside of promoting her kids.
What is going to happen when the show is cancelled? And the gravy train has ended?

I say good for Kate! You don't know her anymore than the rest of us do from watching the show. You don't know what's said behind close doors and nor should you. The show is supposed to be about how they deal with 8 kids, not about what happens during their marriage. They are still entitled to their private life just like everyone else in the world.
If they are making money from a show (HELLO! THAT'S THE POINT BEHIND ALL TV/MOIVES) then so be it! Goodness, there is NOTHING wrong with that. I wish my husband didn't have to work and could stay home with us! What a nice life that would be!
Let them figure out what to do once the show has ended. It's not for YOU to decide!
Viera's job isn't to get Kate riled up! Who care's if Jon wears his ring or not! I'm married with 3 kids and guess what? My ring is sitting in my bathroom at this very moment. Does it mean I cheat on my husband? Hell no! It means I took it off and haven't put it back on yet. Why read so much into every little thing some person does?

She could cancel the show and start living her own private life for the sake of the kids. Its irritating to see her on tv with her tanned skin, all this makeup and all the bull*** that makes her look more like a celebrity now. And that i-am-better-than-anyone-of-you look makes it more unbearable to even hear her say anything. she's on denial that the show had affected her life in a very negative way, other than of course, making so much money out her 8 kids. aside from money, i don't see any reason why she should continue with it. i am not learning anything from this show, im just so amused to see how she belittle her husband and shouts at him like on her babies in front of national tv. oh please!

I haven't seen the show much, but when I have, Jon has impressed me as not exactly being super engaged in any of it. Kate's a shrew - and she has to be married to a guy like that -it seemed to me that they were holding it together because she wants to raise their 8 kids the best way they can and he's too much of a putz to leave. I didn't get the feeling that they really even like one another and I guess with where they're at, that wouldn't surprise me. But it def doesn't surprise me that Jon's stepping out. Get a shrink, Jon - not a piece of ass.

she obviously loves all the attention she gets :) i mean, just look at her now. before, the show focuses more on the lives of the kids but now, the show focuses more on kate and how she controls every member of the family...what a control freak! and its more like an advertisement show now with all the free stuff they get just to patronize a product or a place. and of course the nagging and yelling never stops whenever wherever they go.
