You might be wondering how Lindsay Lohan's little sister Ali Lohan has time to go to school in between tagging along on her older sister's exploits. Well, don't you fret, because the 15-year-old's mother, Dina Lohan explains.
The judgement impaired maternal unit told the New York Daily News, "She is home schooled. I'm a firm believer in staying in school but, in the business, it's gotten difficult for Ali to be in school."
Oh she's learning stuff, all right.

Dina Lohan is like a modern day Gypsy Lee Rose (the infamous burlesque stage mother who forced her daughters into raunchy burlesque in the 1930's or 40's she was so obsessed on experiencing a stage career through her daughters).
The difference of course is that Gypsy Lee's daughters both became famous stage and film actresses with long happy careers who died in their seventies with large happy families of their own.
The only interest the public has in the Lohans is to see how quickly they crash and burn and fade.

FYI, the mother wasn't Gypsy Rose Lee, the older daughter took that as a stage name when she began her burlesque career. The mother was named Rose Thompson Hovick.
and the mother also did not force her daughters into "raunchy burlesque". they performed in vaudeville shows, with "Baby June" as the star and Rose Louise (Gypsy) in the background. when June left the act, that's when Louise started her burlesque career.
however, the analogy of being obsessed on having a career through her daughters is accurate.

(sorry about my confusion re gypsy lee rose....i saw the musical with patti lupone on broadway just a few months ago so i should know better!!!)
