After checking himself into rehab to satisfy parole requirements, Prison Break actor Lane Garrison has been released from the Tarzana Treatment Facility after just a few hours.
As it turns out, a stay at the center would not suffice for his parole as a result of his work as a substance-abuse program leader during his time served behind bars.
A source close the actor revealed that rehabilitation "would be redundant considering the work that he had already completed." Instead, Garrison will be on parole between two and three years for charges stemming from his tragic drunk driving accident.

no one told him that the program would be 'redundant' that's just a lie. Here's what most likely happened, there is a law in California that if an inmate who participates in an in prison substance abuse program spends 5 months in an 'after care' program, their parole will be discharged in 5 months. I am sure his attorneys figured that they could get him in the program and have his parole discharged without actually talking to CDCR officials about it. I am sure once in the program his parole Officer stopped by and told him that he doesn't qualify for the program since his offense is considered 'serious or violent' under the 3 strikes law..
