A far cry from her role in Glitter, Mariah Carey is way dressed-down for her new film Precious. The story focuses on HIV-positive pregnant teen Claireece "Precious" Jones and is set in 1987 New York and is based on the novel Push.
In the film, Mariah plays a Harlem social worker by the name of Mrs. Weiss who works with Precious, played by actress Gabby Sidibe.
Mimi had to gain weight for the role, as well as don a dark wig and an array of dowdy outfits that cleverly concealed her famous curves. Look at her, getting her Monster on. Someone means business with this role.

She's about 2 surgeries from looking like Lil Kim and Mariah was at least a tad cute so its not like she needs it as much as Kim.
