Clearing up any rumors that he was hoping to collaborate with Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken posted a blog entry on his official website that explained just how much the red-headed Spamalot star would absolutely never do such a thing.
"This year, I happened to turn it during the minute that Adam Lambert was singing 'Ring of Fire' and, at that moment, thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening! I wasn't really a fan and found myself surprised whenever folks told me that they liked him," Clay writes.
The American Idol alum goes on a rant about what a horrible singer Lambert is and claims that a win by Kris Allen means voters are thinking, "Enough with the pretention. More Rubens, more Clays, more Fantasias and Tamyras and Kellys please."
Yowzah. And I thought we were bitchy. We should get him to write for the site.

Oh my my my. Clay Aiken...it must be sad to be so washed up, and watch this guy come in and actually have a legitimate fan base. Truth be told, this kid has more talent in his little finger than you have ever possesed (be it singing, or whatever). Time to move on and worry more about raising your baby than trying to recover any social status whatsoever.

Actually, that's NOT what he said in it's entirety. Try reading the whole blog. Could he have been more PC in his opinion of his own personal take on Adam's ROF? Sure. But its his own opinion, which reflects may others as well, including Simon and numerous legit sources. He went on to say that Adam could be just fine...just not his cuppa tea. The rest of blog was basically what tons and tons of others have said about the way the show has morphed, an indictment of the loss of the little guys chance at a career they may not have had before the show; does it mean Adam isn't entitled to his? Didn't read it that way, just that AI can't pimp to high heaven and not have a backlash, again, something many others have stated clearly as well.
At least the man has balls enough to say it, knowing it would be dissected and spread about. At least print the entire thing.
Good for him. I think he can take the heat as he's not, apparently, as shrinking a violet as some would like to believe.
And I imagine Adam isn't crying over it anyways...he'll be just fine even if Clay isn't a fan.:-)

I think Clay made some valid points..and yes..I read the entire blog..he has a right to his opinion, I didn't care much for Adam either..not that he didn't have talent, hes just not my "cup of tea" either..And AI has become a real circus instead of a talent contest!
