Kris Allen Maintains Adam Lambert Should Have Won

no offence to kris, but he is right. ADAM SHOULD HAVE WON!

its just really f**king annoying that there are so many homophobes that want to ruin it for him

he is the most talented person i've ever seen on idol, and i can't wait for his album

I don't know about others but my thought process had nothing to do with homophobia.

I thought Lambert came across as too much of a seasoned professional. I didn't think he should even have been allowed to compete.

I thought that the guy didn't really need to win. He would be successful without it.

Kris on the other hand came across as an extremely talented beginner who needed and deserved to win to really get his career started.

Ummm... is anyone else bothered and/or creeped out by how Adam looks like Elvis in this photo??

Actually every Gay person I know voted for Kris Allen over Adam. Go check out the gay American Idol youtube reviewers. All of them wanted Kris to win over Adam.

VFTW, which is run by Gay men wanted Kris to win. AI sites run by Gay man like Rickey.org wanted Kris to win. The biggest Gay diva to come off of American Idol, Clay Aiken, hates Adam, no matter how much now he is lying that he didn't.

So I guess Gay people must be the biggest Homophobes because many of us voted like crazy for hours for Kris Allen.

The truth is that it was not Homophobia, but Danny Gokey fans voted for Kris over Adam after he was shockingly voted off the week before. You have to be pretty stupid not to realize that. If the show was promoting Danny VS Adam for months and then the week before the finals Danny got voted...do you really believe Danny's fans are gonna vote for Adam?...not on your life.

I always backed Kris. Because he could re-arrange songs. Kris turned old tired disco songs into totally new songs. Kris played the guitar and the piano on the show and I like his style of singing more.

Well, yes, i'm sure not every gay man voted for Adam. I know several who did - so they didn't all vote for Kris either - but this gets to my point: The gay population is just as diverse as any other - and gay men can be just as shallow as tween girls - voting for the puppy dog cutie with the non-confrontational style. Adam fans span age, gender and sexual orientation. We are a huge group with a different aesthetic than than Kris fans. Gay or not (and I'm a lesbian who never considered 'glam rock' my thing) people have their tastes - and personally Adam knocks my socks off and then some. He is a talent the world will have to reckon with very soon, and I can't wait!

The goal of AI is to find unsigned singing talent, not amateur talent, and contestants like Adam who have honed their talent for years striving for professionalism shouldn't be dissed for it like Adam. Being a performer in an Off Broadway Show does not guarantee anyone a recording career no matter how good you are. How many theatre names are household names??? Why should Adam not have the same chance as a choir director or college student? Also I feel Adam was certainly more of the underdog in real life than Kris or many other contestants given the individual struggles he has faced and thus I certainly don't feel that the true underdog won the competition. That aside, I think Adam knows that he is certainly the "World Idol" if not the voted-in "American Idol". He has achieved the exposure and highly deserved fame he needs to launch his career which I have every confidence will be a stellar one indeed.

I beleive this young man will be a American Icon. Mark my word! He has the most talent I have seen in years.

i agree leelo. just because he's gay doesnt mean u can't like him for his singing, why do people have to be so close-minded?? adam is in a TOTALLY different league... he is the best EVER on american idol. Can't wait until he sells!!!

the only reason adam lost is because ppl didnt like him cuz he was gay and the ppl that are voting are little girls, and they like pop stars. But, kris was my 2nd fave, he just doenst sound that original to me... vs adam has a voice that gives me goose bumbs. I cant believe he can sing that high!! And he never gets out of breath!!!!:)
