Squish, squish. It looks like Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt can't handle reality. The couple tried to quit NBC's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! the very first day they arrived in Costa Rica to shoot the "C-Listers in distress" reality show, which premieres Monday.
"They wanted to be treated like stars," a high-level source on the series tells E! News.' "[Spencer] literally thought he and Heidi were staying in a Four Seasons, working out and getting a tan."
The two refused to eat the same food as the rest of the cast, and complained about being teamed with low-wattage stars, among them Janice Dickinson, Stephen Baldwin, Lou Diamond Phillips, former NBA star John Salley and Sanjaya Malakar.
"I wish they got some real celebrities like K-Fed," groused Montag, per the network insider.
OMG! Can we talk delusional, and total liars. They new what they were getting into, and if they didn't the are total fricking liars.

this same story about them wanting out of the reality show is on every other major blog and even on CNN and MSNBC. i'm sure they planned this in advance to maximize their publicity (either that or heidi is worried she is going to start to melt)

if its true. I agree with american dreamer, its probably for ratings. who wouldn't want to tune in and see these two miserable? (me! even though i hate them both, i couldn't forgive myself if i tuned in..even to see them miserable).
Also, side note, check spelling on the last paragraph. "they new..." should be "they knew...".

Agree with American Dreamer, these two don't go to the bathroom without a press agent and camera in tow. I'm surprised these "D" listers weren't happy to be in the company of irrelevant C listers - it might elevate their status!

Agreed. These two know exactly what they are doing. And I've never said it before, but I'm beginning to realize that they are actually pretty F'N smart about what they are doing and will probably be very suuccessful at it.

Both of them are completely ridiculous. Apparently Spencer doesn't realize that reality show stars ARE C-List celebrities. I sorry there are several people on the that show who are actual stars. People who have actually done things with their careers, not just had a camera follow them around living some fantasy life paid for by daddy.

We need to stop reporting on these two delusional characters. We just help feed their huge egos. The are famous for doing nothing. They are in the same league as Octomom. If we don't look they will eventually shrivel up and die. Spencer has the eyes of a serial killer. Watch out Heidi he will do anything for fame.
