UPDATE: Debbie Rowe will not be attending Michael Jackson's memorial service on Tuesday. Rowe's attorney, Marta Almli, said today, "The onslaught of media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on Michael's legacy. Debbie will continue to celebrate Michael's memory privately."
Still no word on that custody thing tough. I guess Debbie is taking it all one step at a time.

Debbie Rowe, Michael Jackson's ex-wife and mother of his two oldest kids, will be attending his memorial service, taking place on Tuesday. Marc Schaffel, a former business associate of Jackson's, confirmed this today on ABC's Good Morning America.
According to Schaffel, Debbie and the Jackson family have been playing a game of phone tag and been unsuccessful in reaching each other in the past two weeks. "There has been outreach, unfortunately, like so many cases, there's so much going on that they just have not been able to make contact," Schaffel said. "There were several tries, just for the fact of phone numbers that had changed, you know, answering machines that were full. Contact had not been able to happen prior."
At this time, there is however no word on how Debbie's plan to get custody of her two children is going. Schaffel himself would not comment, saying it was only something her lawyer's could answer. As of Thursday, her lawyers had answered that Debbie "has not reached a final decision concerning the custody proceedings." Well, that answer works for now.
Is anyone else super perplexed by Debbie Rowe? Like, if you give up your parenting rights, why would you want to go back and get your kids? I'm sure you love the kids, but umm, I don't know, why don't you not give up your parenting rights to begin with? Just a thought.
