True to their claim to want to maintain a united front in the face of divorce, reality TV couple Jon and Kate Gosselin spent the July 4th holiday weekend as a family. Jon joined his brood at their home in Wernersville, Pennsylvania for volleyball, blueberry-picking and fireworks.
In a recent cover story for People magazine, Kate revealed that her estranged hubby has told her, "I absolutely cannot imagine not spending every single holiday with my kids. I don't care what it takes. I will be there."
Meanwhile, although the family gathering was a peaceful one, it seems the event wasn't without legal issues. Apparently, the collection of cherry bombs, firecrackers and sparklers weren't totally kosher with the law. At one point, a spy tells Life & Style, Kate yelled to Jon, "Jon, I think that's illegal in Pennsylvania!"
However, a Pennsylvania officer told the magazine that although Kate was right, the law usually isn't enforced. Those Gosselins--always living on the edge.
