While in character as Bruno, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, got glib with Matt Lauer on the Today show this morning and requested a hug. During his interview, Lauer informed the over-exposed Austrian fashion enthusiast clad in an all-silver suit and tiny hat that the Austrian Minister to Great Britain had requested a boycott of the film.
At that point, Bruno reacted with faux-surprise and told Matt, "This is the first I'm hearing of this. This is a very private moment. Close up, please. That is just so Austrian: they build you, zhen they knock you down."
Pretending to be overwhelmed with emotion, he wailed to the interviewer, "Hug me, I feel so lonely!" Make sure to check out the video after the jump! Meanwhile, if he thinks he's getting emotional with Matt, Bruno would have been a puddle of emotions if he had been grilled by Al Roker. That friendly weatherman doesn't pull any punches.
