Matt Damon is not just a pretty face; he's a giving pretty face. Matt has launched a new humanitarian project that works to provide access to clean, safe water in some of poorest countries in the world. He plays poker for charity and has one. Oh Matt.
After co-founding the charity, H2O Africa, Matt has teamed up with Gary White, co-founder of the charity WaterPartners to create Water.org. It's a new organization that aims to bring clean water to almost 890 million people at risk of disease.
Matt says on the website, "Every 15 seconds, a child in the developing world dies from water-related disease. After visiting project sites in Africa and Asia with Gary, I've seen the problem and the impact of safe water."
It makes me really happy when attractive celebrities turn out be really good people. It makes me feel like I should do something really important with my life. Meh, I'll get on that later.
