We love making fun of Mischa Barton. It's so easy to with her horrible fashion choices and her even more horrible taste in men. That won't be happening today. The girl is in some serious need of help, and we're hoping she gets it.
Details have emerged since Mischa Barton was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold (also known as a 5150) by the Los Angeles Police Department and transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Wednesday evening. The NY Post is reporting that Barton was so high on coke following a marathon three-day bender that friends called cops afraid she would kill herself.
A source close to Barton said, "She's in very bad shape. She's running out of money and can't find love, so now she is looking for a good time to escape her misery. She is on a downward spiral. She is a mess. She is a suicidal, uninsurable mess."
A source believes it will take some time before Barton bounces back, saying: "She is a tortured and troubled person. You can survive a bad review, but when you don't show up for the premiere of your new film, it's not a good sign of where your career is heading."
We will see what this means for her new show, The Beautiful Life, which is debuting this fall on The CW? Get well Mischa.
