Sadly, my dreams have once again been crushed. Even though Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, former spouses and reality TV stars, are both single again at the same time, there is no truth to any rumors that two may start dating again.
Nick told People, "I think it's fun storytelling, but there's very little truth to any of it. I certainly have heard about her breakup and I wish her the best, as I've always done. Aside from that, there really is nothing to say." Nothing to say? How about an "I love you Jessica! I've always loved you! Let's get back together and make the fans happy!" That sounds good to me. Apparently, the two don't even talk anymore. "I haven't talked to her in probably two years. I wish her happiness. That's where it pretty much ends."
After having recently broken up with girlfriend of three years, Vanessa Minnillo, Nick doesn't seem to upset about it. "I'm in a good place," he tells People. "I've learned, through years of not only being in this business, but being in relationships, that you have to take it as it goes. With every experience, you learn something about your life, and you try to take that and move on and be a better person because of it. We'll see what happens."
It's quite possible that Jessica will still grieve over her break-up from Tony Romo using John Mayer and Nick. Nick and Jessica are like Barbie and Ken, at some point they're gonna have to get back together, right?
