When you're one of the most sought after and sexy actors ever, it's difficult to keep a level head. However, that doesn't seem to apply to Robert Pattinson. For someone who is constantly ambushed by fans and given the star treatment everywhere he goes, the man is surprisingly down to earth. In his latest interview with OK! Magazine, Rob showed us just how level headed he really is as he talked about Twilight, obsessed fans, and being Edward Cullen.
Did Rob even know what he was signing up for when he agreed to do Twilight? "No way. I read the script and I barely even knew that they were books too. The only reason I went to the audition was to see Kristen, because I'd just seen Into The Wild." Oh, and about the whole Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson thing? According to him they are just really good friends and at the moment he is single and ready to mingle.
This is for all of you who want your own RPattz: what he looks for in a woman. "I like people being forward. Gosh, I don't know. I like strong people, chiselled abs... I don't know, I take what I can get!" Hmm. If he just takes she he can get, then maybe getting his sperm won't require so much work!
He does feel like most of his female fan bases don't really know him though; they are in love with the idea of Edward Cullen and figure he must be just like Edward. " People just project their idea of my character on to me and they just seem to assume that I'm the same, when in reality I'm not." Some people so think he's Edward that they do really weird things around him. "One time there were these four girls, in Chicago I think, and they had all scratched their necks until they bled and then when they came up to me they had these bleeding scabs. It was gross!" Umm, eww?
My favorite part of the interview? When OK! asks what the hardest part about being Edward Cullen is. " Probably trying to be scary when you're supposed to be looking pretty at the same time." Hahaha! Love it! And in Rob's opinion, Edward isn't really even the perfect guy. " You always get weirdos like Edward who seem to attract women for some reason. If Edward wasn't a fictional character and you met him in reality he is like one of those guys who would probably be an axe murderer or something."
I could totally picture meeting a perfect Edward Cullen and he turns out to be a serial killer. Well, he is a vampire. Rob and crew are heading back to Vancouver to begin shooting the third film in the Twilight Saga, Eclipse. While he won't be nude in New Moon, we can still appreciate all his vampiric glory.
