Here's something I bet a lot of you didn't know? There's a World Gravy Wrestling Championship. This year Rose 'n' Bowl pub in Stacksteads, Lancashire, hosted the event, which saw the use of 440 gallons of gravy.
Joel Hicks, a 30-year-old who wrestled under the name of Stone Cold Steve Bisto won the men's bout on his third try. He told BBC News, "It is a bit crazy - it is the third time I have done this event, so to finally win it is fantastic. The final was really tough and it is much more difficult than you think. My technique was really just to grab hold of the guy and hope for the best."
In the women's bout, 23-year-old Emma Slater proved victorious. "I didn't register until the last minute because I was only meant to be holding up the cards at the end of each round, so it has all come as a big surprise."
The proceeds for the event go the East Lancashire Hospice, so it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that gravy is doing a good deed. God bless gravy. Anyone have other random liquid wrestling competitions we should know about? The best I got is a frat party I went to that wanted girls to K-Y Jelly wrestle. And they did.

Wow, the guy one and didn't even have to compete. By the looks of it, it was just the girls wrestling. WTF is up with that??!
David says:
12 photos of girls wrestling and one photo of one guy, not wrestling. Gee, I wonder what was on the minds of the photographers?

Gravy on that meat is delicious. Can I make sure that gravy is thick enough?
