Project Lawsuit: Chris March

So everyone remembers Chris March from Project Runway? Well If not, then you'll surely know Beyonce. Well it turns out Chris March, a past contestant on Project Runway, is suing Thierry Mugler for allegedly not paying March for the work he did for Beyonce's costumes on her current I Am... Sasha Fierce tour. Those lady lumps don't stay tucked away with just any leotard!

So here's the deal. It turns out Mugler's training and expertise lies more in the design area, while March apparently has the magic hands to make those fierce costumes come to life. As March so appropriately noted, Beyonce dances so "wildly" that the importance of understanding her movement in making these costumes is key. Apparently Mugler and March have worked together for almost seven years, working on projects like Cirque du Soleil. So when Beyonce hired Mugler to create costumes for her tour, Mugler called upon March for his help.  

That was December. When the tour took off at the end of March (the month), March (the person) and his team shipped the costumes off and put in their final invoice. March claims he was paid for everything until that final invoice, and he simply wants to know why.   

Despite his messy lawsuit, March seems to be doing well with the pilot for a reality show and a coffee table book showcasing his designs from the last 25 years both in the works. March seemed grateful and gave credit where credit was due when he said, "I never would have had this opportunity without Project Runway."  

I like that outta Chris March! I'm rooting for him. And not to mention he helped our girl B keep it tight on stage like a real pro. Let's hope he gets paid and they can all move on.
