Everybody remembers when Anna Nicole Smith died of drug related complications shortly after the birth of her daughter, and the huge custody battle over the little girl, but it seems that little Dannielynn Birkhead is doing well and a happy little girl with daddy Larry. OK! Magazine got an exclusive interview with the Larry right after Dannielynn's third birthday on September 7. Kinda brilliant on Larry's part, right? As they put it, Larry and Dannielynn "are living proof that love can triumph over tragedy."
On 3-year-old Dannielynn: "It seems only weeks ago I was bringing her home and now all this time has gone by and she's bigger and wiser and such a great kid."
On how she's like mommy: "I have photos where they look exactly the same. She loves posing for the camera like Anna, too. And she's going to be tall like her mommy."
On daddy life: "It's hard work and time consuming but it's worth it when I hear her laugh. All my friends are out in bars, but I don't miss it. In fact, I'm morphing into my parents -- I've become corny and sensible."
On missing Mommy Anna: "She misses her mom so much. Right now she's at the age where she's noticing that other children in television and in books have moms. She said to me the other day quite seriously, "Where's my mom?" It was sad but I explained to her, "Your mommy is in the clouds and you'll see her again one day." She knows who her mom is, though -- I make sure of that. Our home is filled with photos of Anna and recognizes her straight away."
From the looks of it, she is quite an adorable little girl and she looks incredibly happy with her dad. Larry says that he wants to be her shield and keep her from worrying about the nasty things. Aww cute. As the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith, I'm pretty positive that she's going to have to deal with a lot of nasty. I'm just hoping she stays off the celebrity path. That very rarely works out well.

That's a genuinely happy kid. Michael Jackson's kids never smile like that. Suri Cruise doesn't smile like that.

Larry Birkhead should stop selling pictures of an orphan and find a JOB. Birkhead was a gay paparazzo/ failed actor who knew that Anna Nicole was a drug addict on opiates, but impregnated her on purpose to become rich and famous. He should be ashamed of himself, amoral, greedy pig. He will never be a star in Hollywood.

I think he is being a great dad..and the public sees very little of Larry and Dannilynn. Its nice to see a pic of her now and then, she sure looks a lot like her mommy!!!She looks like a very happy little girl.

Larry is a greedy pig? He lives in Kentucky - for the very reason to keep her away from the spotlight. He does not do many interviews- and even if he does them once a year - why does that make him a bad dad? And who said he's "trying to be a star"?
Dannylynn is obviously a happy, well adjusted girl, who is clearly adores her dad. You see it in every pic in that article.
I've seen more pics of Suri Cruise in one month than I do of Dannylynn all year - and they've only done ONE photoshoot with her for Vanity Fair. And she doesn't look half as happy as Dannylynn - even when she doesn't know the cameras are there.
Stop being so judgmental and condescending- he's doing the best he can.

I think Dannylynn is so beautiful and her Daddy is a gorgeous man as well! Dannylynn loves her daddy so much by the smile she has for him!Larry..you are a great father. I don't care if he's gay, even if Anna was alive she was a drug addict, she has a better life with him. Not that she wont miss knowing her mother, but she will have so much more of a stable life.
The guy probably is gay, and I don't see how that should affect her. Love is love.
