Dee, I think he actually is in kind of pain. You can see how much he wants her and how completely terrified he is of losing control. This is after the thing with Jasper and I think Edward already knows he`s gonna leave Bella so it`s a goodbye kiss for him, he thinks it`s their last kiss ever. How tough must that be!!
Plus, if they kiss like THAT at the beginning of New Moon, Eclipse and BD should be probably rated 15 at least, since the tension and longing increase with each kiss. ;-)

Hell yes he is in pain...he knows if he goes just a little too far (and too into that kiss) that the monster inside may just win...remember her blood sings to him, making him want her that much more and not in the romantic way if you get my drift. That seen was soooo HOT though. I can't freaking wait for the movie!!!!!!! Is the 11/20 yet?!

They kiss so much more often in the book, I don't get why they have made the kiss like this.

Great scene. Played pitch perfect per the book. Chris Weitz is knocking this one out the ball park and when it comes to the kissing scenes, Rob and Kristen never fail to deliver.

Anna, I totally agree. It was terrible. I'm not really impressed with the clips for this movie. All the actors are caked with makeup, especially Bella. Guess we'll have to wait and see when it comes out if it's any good.

I am so into the series they could have been cross-eyed and purple and would have still loved the kiss. It did sound weird though how she portrayed "can I ask for something" and I hope the story leads up to the pain look in the kiss or it will kinda suck (hope not though)

there is sooo much more to this kiss than the desire for her blood!!! his all consuming love for her , having resolved that he has to leave her fearing for her life. the groaning though I couldn't see the video as summit has pulled it due to copyright (sigh)I can only imagine that groan being from a pain so deep as well as the passion and love he feels for her. my heart breaks for him and I admire him so much more for his strength. I'm a mum and I know if bella was my daughter I would be grateful that he was willing to try and leave if thats whats best .It would be so much easier for him to give in.....
