Formerly Chastity Bono, the transgendered spawn of Cher and the late, Sonny Bono, is now embracing his new identity as a man. Chaz Bono sat down with Entertainment Tonight's Mary Hart for an in-depth interview to discuss how life has improved since starting the journey to sexual reassignment.
Bono explains, "It's a long process going back almost a decade. I got clean and sober in 2004 and I couldn't have done this before that." As for the changes that have taken place since hormone replacement therapy, Chaz says, "It lowered my voice. Fat redistributes, muscle growth, hair growth, sex drive increases."
However, Chaz claims that thinking as a male has always felt natural. "I always felt like the male from the time I was a child. There wasn't much feminine about me," Bono answers. But hey, giving birth is still an option!

Chaz is now a man, not a woman. This should read:
"Chaz Bono sports a new buzz cut as he is spotted leaving his West Hollywood home."
butterscotch says:
yes, please respect people's gender preference. If you are doing satire and want to play with someone's gender pronoun that is one thing, but to be "reporting" one thing and putting your own biases into your "report"...that is another thing. Chaz is a man. He is not a "she". Simple when you think about it. (it's also respectful.)

I didn't think you employed ignorant bloggers.
Angie says:
That was distasteful and ignorant.
Taylor says:
that's no man...no matter how hard she tries. just some mutilated woman.
Pete says:
Also, it should be noted that the term is transgender and not transgendered.
Thank you.
