A mistrial was declared by the judge in the John Travolta extortion trial after Bahamian lawmaker Picewell Forbes told press that defendant Pleasant Bridgewater had been acquitted while the jury was still deliberating the case.
A source tells RadarOnline that at the time the judge made this announcement, the jury had the votes required to convict both Bridgewater and Tarino Lightbourne.
An attorney for Forbes claims that Picewell was simply repeating a rumor in a televised speech to the Progressive Liberal Party convention. Dude, what is going on in the Bahamas?
