You've probably heard the rumors. I even saw them talking about it on the news, but then again it was FOX.
It turns out Howard Stern is a REAL consideration to take Simon Cowell's spot on American Idol. He confessed on his radio show yesterday that his in talks for the new job.
"They'd have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough," said the radio host. No kidding, his five-year Sirius contract was worth $500 million. That contract is up at the end of the year too, and his fans might be upset because he is willing to quit his day job for the hosting gig. Howard is confidant that he's worth the money.
"If I do say so myself, I can't imagine anyone else but me replacing [Cowell]," says the man with a face for radio. "Who knows how to broadcast and who knows how to be interesting? And who's not afraid to speak their mind?"
That's true, he can create the Cowell level of controversy, but Simon did it by actually judging, and not by telling a contestant that her tits look amazing and how much he would love to see her naked. Plus, Howard would have to remember how to restrain his currently uncensored humor for a network show.
More on Howard Stern potentially becoming an American Idol judge after the jump.
What do you guys think?
Side note: I was curious if Howard ever said anything offensive towards Elle DeGeneres, but in a very quick search all I found was in 2007 he was unhappy with her Oscar outfit.
Here's Howard with his inexplicably hot wife Beth Ostrosky at an equally inexplicable event, the 2009 North Shore Animal League America's 4th annual DogCatemy gala on May 11, 2009.

WTF says:
Howard's confidant, eh? Seriously, do editors proof anything on this site? Ever? These mistakes are DAILY, and it's pathetic.
Idiot says:
Howard hates Ellen. If you knew anything about his show, you'd know that. Howard knows how to judge beyond body shape ... you're an idiot.
O&A Rule says:
Howard sucks, he's just trying to draw up publicity. Howard fans are idiots if they think ANYONE is as stupid as they are to pay for him, listen to a real radio show...idiot.
Joe says:
Howard ripped Ellen about the incident with her dog adoption. He has never had a kind word to say about her. That being said, he would bring extraordinary entertainment value to a show that will need it once Simon is gone.
