Here's the rumpled hotness that is Mark Ruffalo and birdman Adrien Brody at the press conference for their new flick The Brothers Bloom. They play suave con artists who try and bilk an epileptic photographer played by Rachel Weisz. Brody (inexplicable sex object that he is) eventually falls in love with her. Let me guess, he initially feels bad when she has a seizure in front of him. What is this - Dif'rent Strokes? If I was an epileptic, I would find this obvious pandering distasteful and stage a protest.

The cast traveled all over Eastern Europe for the whimsical adventure.

"We were like the characters," said Weisz. "We were packing our trunks and going on the road. We were going on a - it wasn't a world adventure - but it was an eastern European adventure. We were a traveling circus."

Actually, I saw the trailer and I would go for Mark Ruffalo in a series of hats alone. He does it for me. Oh, and for the silent Asian woman who blows things up. That's probably pandering, too, but she's still rad.

How many Britney Spears disses do you think Kevin Federline threw out at LAX this past Saturday night? Despite Kfed, Brody Jenner and Paris Hilton hogging the spotlight at LAX and at the Luxor Hotel's Cathouse opening in Vegas this past Saturday night, there were plenty of other celebrities who were there as well. Adrien Brody, Elsa Pataky, Kelly Osbourne, Jack Osbourne, Carrot Top, Jamie King, Kyle Newman, Jenna Jameson, Tito Ortiz, Tommy Lee, Gunner Nelson and Carrot Top gave some wattage to the crowd. Mischa Barton would have been in these photos had she not decided that hosting a New Year's Eve party after getting a DUI probably wasn't a good idea.

"Hey guys, I'm Oscar-award-winning actor, Adrien Brody! Remember how much weight I had to lose to be convincing for my role in 'The Pianist'? Yes, looking that emaciated was quite a stretch for me. I skipped lunch for a whole day to achieve that gaunt look." I kid because there's a special place in my heart for skinny guys. That's why when it seems that Adrien is showing up in what looks like special padded clothing to the opening of Energie/Miss Sixty New York flagship store in NYC, I can't help but smile and want to pinch his cheeks, except that I'm pretty sure it might injure him.

What? No Bai Ling in between these classy-looking stars in their low-key suits, trench coats and generally tasteful looking ensembles? I guess the opening of the Chopard jewelry boutique on Madison Avenue in NYC was a smidge too classy for our favorite habitual nipple exposer. Instead, stars like Liz Hurley (who we suspect might be reconciling with her ex, Hugh Grant), Maggie Gyllenhaal, Adrien Brody, supermodel Eva Herzigova and Rachel Weisz all showed up, flashing their pearly whites at the store's debut. Also in attendance as the guest of honor was the man who defines the very concept of sparkly, Elton John, who claims Chopard jewels as some of his favorites.

"I'm here in a small capacity, returning a favour to them for a very big favour they do for us. They're great people and great humanitarians."

What Elton is referring to is the work that Chopard has done in the past in helping him raise funds for his AIDS foundation. These pictures are all pretty sedate, except for the one of Ivana Trump after the jump, where you can see that she's so rich, she can afford a fur coat made out of an actual Cookie Monster.

Owen Wilson made a suprise appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of his new flick, "The Darjeeling Limited. As you may recall, Owen's been in recovery from a suicide attempt a couple of weeks ago. He looks happy and healthy here! Then again, I can't focus too much on him because my glam-rock lover Adrien Brody is showing off his snazzy new sex agent suit. And on the other end, as if she's the opposite gorgeous bookend, is Natalie Portman. Her dress is made out of fiery love! His friends all embraced his tragic ass.

Wilson, 38, sidestepped the red carpet and entered the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' Samuel Goldwyn Theatre through a private entrance, surprising the audience by joining costars Jason Schwartzman, Natalie Portman and Anjelica Huston onstage.

Shown a very warm welcome back into the spotlight, Wilson was introduced by director Wes Anderson as "my best friend," and the audience erupted into applause. Added Anderson: "I've never made a movie without him. and I hope I never have to."

In all honesty, it's good that his ass is up and running. Most of his movies are dumb as hell, but no one wants to see people in that much pain. Except for Paris Hilton. Why cant's she get the blues and reach for the Lady Bic?

Adrien Brody, who is so exactly as skinny as my ex-boyfriend, that friends of mine teased me at the Oscar party where we watched him kiss Halle Berry on stage by saying, "Look, your BOYFRIEND is kissing Halle Berry!" is seen here, out and about with his actual girlfriend, Elsa Patakay. The two are in Malibu, while Adrien's new film, "Darjeeling Limited," which also stars Owen Wilson, is being promoted, with the trailer for the movie playing in movie theaters and available to watch online. I have to say, I took a peek at the trailer, after reading on Film Crunch that seeing it in the midst of the suicide attempt made by Owen Wilson definitely gives the film an even darker undertone that I'm sure had originally been intended. His character wears mysterious bandages around his head and hands and you kind of get the feeling you're watching Owen right before his lowest point. In any case, I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan, so I'll be sure to go check it out in theaters when I get a chance, and either way, I'd like to think that it would help cheer Owen up if his movie does well.

Adrien Brody strikes me as a solid guy. He's not my type, but he seems like he might be witty, and fun to drink with and have some good stories. He hit the Venice FIlm Festival with his new chick, some bullfighter's daughter. And they took pics of the crowd. His new flick is "The Darjeeling Limited". It's about three brothers taking a train trip through India, and it's getting bad reviews. It's from the same guys who brought you "Rushmore" and I think they might have shot their wad with that one, so to speak. "Rushmore" was entirely boss, but I couldn't get through five minutes of the "Aquatic" one.

Eager to capture memories of his big night in Venice Adrien Brody had a camera at the ready at the premiere of his latest flick The Darjeeling Limited. Despite the phalanx of photographers on hand at the movie festival, the Oscar winner made sure he would be taking away plenty of his own souvenirs from the event.

Not to be outdone, Elsa Pataky, the Spanish senorita he's been dating since making a film about a bullfighter, was equally active behind the lens. Camera glam in a plunging golden gown, she looked set to feature prominently in her dashing beau's personal album.

I'd probably do the same thing. He can release a coffeetable book when no one wants to hire him anymore. Keep reading for a negative review of his latest.

While Madonna was snubbed. The material woman was up for three awards, but she failed to take home an award (she wasn't in attendance). Best Pop was won by Justin Timberlake, Female by Christina Aguilera, and Album by The Red Hot Chili Peppers for Stadium Arcadium. She wasn't the only big name artist to go home empty handed; Robbie Williams and Keane also failed to take home an award.

One person who wasn't too thrilled about not winning an award was Kayne West, who stormed the stage when he lost and launched into an expletive-filled tirade to protest.

Even though he'd won the award for Best Hip-Hop Artist earlier in the evening, West jumped out of his seat in Copenhagenwhen Justice and Simian (no, we haven't heard of them either) won the Best Video prize for "We Are Your Friends" and crashed the award presentation. He told the stunned audience that he should've won for his "Touch The Sky" because it "cost a million dollars, Pamela Anderson was in it, I was jumping across canyons." And, he added, "If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility."

At the premiere of "Hollywoodland" Ben Affleck spoke about loathing lycra. From playing a superhero in "Daredevil" and as George Reeves in his new film, the standard issue-hero tights are now out of the question.

"By playing a superhero in Daredevil, I have inoculated myself from ever playing another superhero. Wearing a costume was a source of humiliation for me and something I wouldn't want to do again soon."

I am glad to hear that news. Tights are for 10-year-old girls, Lindsay Lohan, and the Olsen Twins.
