Adam Lambert Signs Record Deal & Confesses To 'Rolling Stone'

Of course it's no major bombshell to hear Adam Lambert openly admitting that he's gay, but good for him for holding out for the cover of Rolling Stone. Go big or go home, right? The American Idol runner-up tells the music magazine, "Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, 'I'm going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler.' "

"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay."

Lambert also takes the opportunity to poke a subtle jab at another former runner-up. "I didn't want the Clay Aiken thing and the celebrity-magazine bullshit. I need to be able to explain myself in context," Adam asserts.

Clay's diss aside, Adam has signed deals with both RCA Recordings and 19 Entertainment and said the following in a statement, "We are 100 percent on the same page and are all anxiously awaiting the start of the recordings. It's going to be ridiculous! Get Ready!!!"

Ooh, three exclamation points? This ought to be good.

'Idol' Winner Kris Allen Signs Record Deal

Things are going well for Kris Allen. He beat out American Idol favorite Adam Lambert to win the reality singing competition, he sang the "Star Spangled Banner" at last night's Lakers game and he just inked a recording contract. His debut album will be released by Jive Records this fall.

"As exciting as the last few months have been, I'm really looking forward to what is next," Allen said in a statement Tuesday. "I'm very grateful to be working with Simon Fuller and his team at 19 Entertainment, along with Barry Weiss and Jive Records on my debut album."

"Everyone's been asking me what it's going to sound like," he went on. "It will be very similar to what you heard from me on the show -- definitely in the pop/rock genre. I can't wait to get started!"

The true test will be to see how well the album sells. Will you buy Kris' album this fall. Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Adam Lambert: 2009 Young Hollywood Awards

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert was the most popular attendee at the 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards the other night.

There was no trace of the rumored diva persona as Lambert obliged fans by signing autographs and posing for photos. The beloved reality TV star was only scheduled to stay for an hour, but ended up staying for nearly four.

The Hollywood Life Media's Young Hollywood Awards sponsored by Sebastian honored the guyliner-loving singer with the YH Artist of the Year. And never one to disappoint, Adam was decked out in his what looks like a mariachi outfit much to the excitement of his fans.

Adam Lambert Saved By A Quween

Eccentric local Quween, who starred in the Funny or Die video alongside American Idol alum Katharine McPhee to advertise her paparazzi protection services, appears to have been hired by diva-in-training Adam Lambert.

As Adam tried to make his way through a stairwell filled with photographers and videographers, Quween proved that she really is the best in the business when it comes to getting former American Idol contestants where they need to go.

All hail the Quween! I'm going to hire her for my next family reunion. Stop asking me why I'm not married! That's enough! Interview's over!

'American Idol' Runner-Up Adam Lambert Reveals Diva Attitude

Right on schedule, reports on surfacing that American Idol contestant Adam Lambert is showing signs of a swelling ego. It seems the minute these kids step off the stage, they immediately drop the whole "aw shucks" persona and Lambert has proven to be no exception.

A source claims to have worked with the singer and revealed, "He is such a diva. Rude to everyone--from fans right down to the lighting folks." Another snitch who interacted with Adam in New York tattles, "A-list celebrities have come through here and been infinitely more polite."

Someone needs to punish him by taking away his flatiron for a week. Wait until he comes crawling back, his hair a mess and guyliner spilling down his face.

Paula Abdul Might Not Return To 'American Idol'

During her appearance on David Letterman's late night talk show, American Idol judge Paula Abdul very coyly revealed that it was a possibility she might not be returning to the show. However, she was hesitant to confirm or deny the information definitively.

When Dave teased Abdul that she wouldn't be acting as judge on the new season of the reality TV series, Paul replied, "I never said that. I just said that I'm not sure."

In the midst of contract negotiations, Paula reassured the crowd. "I love my job. I do. I feel that I've had a really wonderful journey with the show. It's called 'negotiating.' " Ha! I'd love to see Paula "negotiating." I bet she's really good at bluffing.

'American Idol' Runner-Up Adam Lambert Reveals Boyfriend Drake LaBry?

On a night out at the Guys and Dolls club in West Hollywood, Adam Lambert walked out hand-in-hand with what could be a possible romantic interest, Drake LaBry.

Although Adam is reportedly planning to officially "out" himself on the cover of Rolling Stone, his very famously been very guarded when it comes to questions about his sexuality.

So either Lambert will dish about this possible couple alert in the magazine, or we'll just have to keep our eyes peeled for more pictures like these.

Adam Lambert To Cover Rolling Stone; Kara DioGuardi Comments On His Sexuality

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has been playing coy about his sexuality throughout the entire reality TV competition. And it seems that the 27-year-old was very clever to keep mum because it might have landed him the cover of Rolling Stone.

Page Six reports that Lambert is strategically planning to "come out" on the next issue of the music industry mag, complete with a cover photo. Their snitch reveals, "He didn't want it to be an issue during the contest, but he's fine with his sexuality."

Idol judge Kara DioGuardi gave her two cents on the subject when she was chatting with the ladies on The View. During her interview, DioGuardi commented, "I don't think that Adam was ever in [the closet]."

Unless it was a closet full of leather, thigh-high platform boots, that is.

'American Idol' Defends Kris Allen Win Against Voting Issues

There's been some controversy surrounding Kris Allen's win on American Idol after it was made public that AT&T viewing parties in his home state of Arkansas has voters "power texting" their votes into the show.

AT&T employees reportedly instructed fans how to send 10 or more text votes at a time. However, in Adam Lambert's hometown of San Diego power texting was encouraged, although no tutorials were provided.

In response, Fox, Fremantle Media, 19 Entertainment and producers of the show are defending the outcome of the season in a statement: "Fox and the producers of American Idol are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol."

How about we just stop worrying about it and see who sells the most records?
