Hayden Panettiere was honored by the Human Society at the Genesis Awards on Saturday night for protesting the slaughter of dolphins in Japan. If you'll recall, Hayden donned a wetsuit and paddled her ass out in front of a Japanese freighter to stop them from offing Flipper.

The audience viewed a clip of Hayden in action, and then gave her a standing ovation as she took the stage.

"As an actress, you always dream of getting awards like the Golden Globe award, but I never expected to get an award that is this special and important to me as this," Hayden said. "There are people who dedicate their entire lives to preserving the environment and defending animals, they are so much more deserving of something like this."

Hayden apparently was so moved that she had to leave the stage and go to the ladies room to collect her shit. She's big into the dolphins.

The only other thing I want to ask about is if Hal Sparks is playing Gene Simmons in a KISS movie? And did he wear the same outfit to the Kids' Choice Awards? And why was he at either of these events? Is he big into kids and animals? Was he valeting?

In an interview on 60 Minutes, David showed Anderson Cooper his collection of tattoos on his arms, which included his most recent tattoo of a likeness of wife Victoria--much to Anderson's chagrin, I'm sure. They were having such a lovely afternoon, when David had to drag Posh into it.

David said that he's fascinated with tattoos, most especially his own and has used them to show his love for his wife and children. "I think everybody's got a way of expressing their feelings, and mine is through my tattoos."

Meanwhile, here are some pictures of a hot double-date between Kate Beckinsale, her man Len Wiseman and Posh and Becks. They need to all go out and get matching tattoos, to commemorate the meeting of hot British ass.

Get it, queen! Anderson Cooper was granted his fondest wish, and got to visit with David Beckham. He brought Becks' Armani underwear ad to sign. Over the bulge. Anderson profiled Becks for 60 Minutes this Sunday, and gamely spent some time in the net trying to block his kicks.

A friend of mine played soccer in college and now coaches and he told me about this game I love called Butts Up. In it, the freshman players have to bend over in the net and the older guys take shots at their asses. Anderson requested that game. He was denied. Probably because he asked David to nix the ball and just use his penis.

This whole thing is reeking with sexual tension. Anderson may be closeted but he can work that gray head of hair for all its worth. Victoria Beckham better fly her glamour starship down to the field and beat Coop off her man.

The CNN anchor recently spoke out on his blog about a recent surgical he underwent on his face. He wrote, "I had minor surgery on Monday. A small spot of skin cancer was removed from under my left eye. I hadn't planned on mentioning this, but I still have stitches and you'll no doubt notice them tonight."

Ha! I made you think it was something else. But my enthusiasm over my misleading you quickly fades, as I realize that it would be appropriate at this juncture to wish Anderson good health. On a different note, I don't think I've ever seen him this expressive in any pictures...ever. The pictures are about a month old, by the way, from the Baily House 20th Annual Auction and Party.

And I thought I recognized that face in one of the pictures as none other than Barneys creative director, Simon Doonan, who first introduced me to the term "hooker style" on America's Next Top Model. I want him to berate more wannabe models for dressing slutty. It's fun to watch because it's so silly--like punishing dogs for liking to smell their crotches. They can't help themselves!

Highlighting the launch of CNN-HD in the fall of 2007, Anderson Cooper has teamed up with Animal Planet's Jeff Corwin and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta to bring to audiences the four-hour documentary about the Earth's current environmental state, entitled, "Planet in Peril." As you can see here, Lance Armstrong was also on hand with the team to lend his support to the promotion of the documentary's launch, which will air over two nights Tuesday, Oct. 23rd and Wednesday, Oct. 24th. According to Cooper:

"Our goal was to report not only on individual issues but to examine the interconnectivity of environmental changes. Instead of simply delving into academic theories, we set out to document the actual changes taking place that affect the way we live our lives and the choices we make."

First Al Gore, then Leonardo DiCaprio, now this. I'm starting to feel left out. Where's my terrifying documentary about the environment? Oh that's right, I'm lazy. I forgot to make one. And can someone please tell Matthew McConaughey I'm joking. I think he's been reading my posts and is pissed. Oh yes, and I really hope that female correspondent dressed in a fur coat is wearing some endangered species because the irony would be too rich!

Sometimes I stretch the truth for a joke, but this blog post title is simply a bald-faced lie. I guess I just thought it would make more sense, rather than whatever it is these so-called "Vision" awards are really for. Basically, they have something to do with entertainment because Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairman and CEO Michale Lynton was honored at them. And there were also fabulous celebrities in attendance at the even (the only reason WE care about it) like the flawless Miss Natalie Portman, who is channeling (yeah, you know what's coming) Audrey Hepburn with her subtle bouffant and black dress. I love that Sharon and Ozzy are pictured with Elton John who looks like he's smiling politely at Ozzy's joke that he dressed up like Elton's evil twin, effectively cracking himself up. And Anderson Cooper is an albino.

Rufus Wainwright gave his two cents to Spin magazine on the subject of staying in the closet, versus pursuing a career in the spotlight as an openly gay man.

"If they stay in the closet, they're going to make a lot more money. I go to the same gym as Anderson Cooper. When I look at him lifting those 5-pound weights, it makes me think, 'He's just trying to live his life and be all that he can be.' But he still goes to the gayest gym in New York."

Seriously? 5-pound weights? I seriously hope Rufus is paraphrasing inaccurately because dude, even I don't mess around with the 5-pounders. And I can't even really do a push-up properly. But the description of the place as "the gayest gym in New York" makes it sound very festive and kind of makes me want to go there. Drunk.
