Johnny Depp and Keith Richards made a surprise appearance at this year's Spike TV's Scream 2009. The award show honors the best in sci-fi, horror, fantasy and comic-inspired movies and TV shows.

True Blood and Twilight took home four awards. Transformers won three prizes. One of the highlights of the night is when Star Trek won the Ultimate Scream Award and William Shatner stepped out onstage to accept the award.

"J.J., I'll handle this," Shatner said to J.J. Abrams, seated in the audience, who also won best director and best sci-fi movie for Star Trek.

"This movie was big," Shatner said. "Imagine how big it could have been with me in it? ... I'll be waiting for your call."

Co-stars of True Blood and real-life couple, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, are planning a wedding in which Moyer's pet dog will be taking on an integral role. The actor--who plays Southern gentleman vampire Bill on the series--tells People magazine, "Splash, my alpha, will be the ringbearer."

Despite the fact that this particular detail has been settled, the couple have yet to set a date for their nuptials. Moyer continues, "People say, 'You are engaged to be married,' and I'm like, 'Really? I thought we were just engaged.' "

Despite Stephen's casual attitude, Anna is actually wearing an engagement ring with a "rustic diamond." Really? No vial of her partner's blood? Cause that would actually seem appropriate for these two.

There don't appear to be any prudes on the set of the racy series, True Blood, and HBO has been reaping the rewards of the frequent on-set nudity with some stellar ratings. Last Sunday's episode nabbed an impressive 5.3 million viewers, increasing the viewership by 20 percent over last week's 4.5 million.

The show's star, Anna Paquin, explains to Nylon magazine that she has no problem baring her body on television and quite frankly, can't see the big deal. "Maybe there are a lot of women who keep their bras on while they have sex...I don't happen to be one of them. I don't think the naked body is particularly shocking or interesting."

Try telling that to 5.3 million viewers.

Breaking out of the mold as a fang-bearing creature, Stephen Moyer is starring in yet another vampire-focused project. The True Blood star--best known for his role of vampire Bill Compton on the HBO series--will be portraying what is described as "the mortal brother of the protagonist" in the film, Priest.

Priest is based on a comic series, centered on a clergyman who "rebels against the church to avenge a group of murderous vampires who have kidnapped his niece." Paul Bettany stars as the main character.

The flick also stars Twilight alumnus Cam Gigandet, who aids the priest in his cause because of his love for the man's niece. This is genius casting. It's a role reversal for both Moyer and Gigandet, but still vampire-centric enough to lure in some blood-thirsty True Blood and Twilight fans.

Not at the same time, of course. Swedish star of True Blood, Alexander Sarsgard, recently showed off all his assets in a love scene with co-star, Anna Paquin. Lady GaGa can attest that Anna was probably not having a terrible time filming these scenes with the sexy actor.

As if that weren't enough reason to fall head-over-heels over the Swedish-born actor, a story has recently gone public in which Sarsgard rescued a 15-year-old-year-old from rioting soccer fans.

The report claims that Alexander risked his own safety, climbing a fence to get to the unconscious boy, who had suffered a concussion during the scuffle. Random acts of heroism, genuine smiles and cozy pillow-talk with Sookie Stackhouse? This isn't the Vampire Eric we're used to seeing.

It was a day of errands for Stephen Moyer. The True Blood hunk went to the Bryon Salon to get his hair done all pretty (but left with a hat on), and then he met up with fiance Anna Paquin. The newly engaged couple picked up a bag of fresh organic coffee beans while running errands.

Anna Paquin's real-life romance with her True Blood co-star, Stephen Moyer is going so swimmingly that the couple are planning to have children together.

According to their co-star on the HBO series, Kristin Bauer, "Anna's so great with Stephen's kids and seems to love them so much, so she seems like someone who would be very open to having kids with him--I wouldn't be surprised."

With the couple reported to be engaged and Anna getting along amazingly well with Moyer's ex, Lorien Haynes--also the mother of his two children--it wouldn't come as a shock to any of us either. They're already acting like one big, happy, blended family.

Nice. It couldn't have happened to two lovelier people. People reports that True Blood co-stars Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin have gotten engaged.

The two have been together since Feb. 24 of this year. Paquin is originally from New Zealand and won a 1994 Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as the precocious child in The Piano.

Moyer, is from Essex, England. He has two children from previous relationships: a son, Billy, born in 2000, and a daughter, Lilac, born in 2002.

Yay. Love them together.

On the HBO series, True Blood, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer can only engage in romantic trysts in the hours between sunset and dawn--with the exception of light-tight hotels with high security.

In real-life, however, the couple were spotted out in the bright sunlight, taking in a day at Sea World while in town for this year's Comic Con in San Diego. Anna was so taken with the ocean wildlife that she took out some time to put on a wet suit and get frisky with some dolphins. Talk about an inter-species relationship.

When chatting with reporters about the possibility of kids in Paquin's future, the 27-year-old actress answered, "I don't know how they'd resolve me and my short shorts on the show with a baby bump."

It's settled then. If we spot Sookie Stackhouse suddenly dressing conservatively, we'll know what's up.
