Mariska Hargitay's Healthy At American Ballet Theater Spring Gala

We were a little concerned to see Mariska Hargitay in and out of the hospital a few months ago due to a partially collapsed lung. So it's nice to see the Law & Order: SVU actress out and about at the 69th Annual American Ballet Theatre Spring Gala at The Metropolitan Opera House.

Hargitay told People magazine of her ailments, "I fell wrong, basically. I collapsed my lung doing a stunt." Yikes. Well, she seems to be in better health these days and certainly looks great, in her black and white frock.

Everybody was looking quite flawless at the event with Eva La Rue looking stunning in an angelic gown with a plunging neckline. Anna Wintour was tiny, stylish and with small fur jacket to keep her bony shoulders warm. Pouring her extremely tan body into a strapless midnight blue dress, Kelly Ripa accessorized her outfit with her adorable husband Marc Consuelos on her arm.

Celebrity Round-Up! 2009 MET Costume Institute Gala Red Carpet

It was quite a dazzling array of celebrity faces on the red carpet for the 2009 MET Costume Institute Gala in New York City. Kanye West and his fellow fashion-loving girlfriend Amber Rose stepped out in traditionally elegant outfits. Amber chose a bright red strapless dress that hugged her curves, while Kanye kept it simple in his black tux.

Actress Lake Bell also did it up in a tux, but it's our humble opinion that Rihanna wore it better. Maybe if Lake had lost the hat.

Holy crap, Ed Westwick got himself some bronzer and hair gel! The Gossip Boy was looking good! Very sleek with his sexy tiger eyes. His sexy photoshoot partner Helena Christensen went for a less traditional look. I'm going to call it "Boozy Ballerina," but since she's a model, she works it better than a mere mortal would.

Salma Hayek's Marriage Masquerade

A sea of beautiful, A-list faces were concealed behind ornately decorated masks at the pre-wedding celebration for the second ceremony planned for couple Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault.

Friday evening, the couple started the festivities after the arrival of most of their best celebrity pals. Friday evening, things started with a grand masquerade-style rehearsal dinner at the historic Punta Della Dogana. Only little Valentina Pinault went maskless for the event, opting instead for pacifier to conceal her mouth.

Some high-profile guests included Stuart Townsend and Charlize Theron, Anna Wintour and model Lily Cole, who used their masks to hide from paparazzi. The event will be followed with the couple's renewing of their vows today at the Palazzo Grassi.

Sienna Miller Hopes The 2nd Time's The Charm With Vogue

I didn't even realize that there was beef between Sienna Miller and Vogue, but apparently when the waif-like British actress posed for the fashion magazine for the first time for the September 2007, it was a bit of a fiasco.

Sienna's first photoshoot for the mag is featured in The September Issue, a documentary following around the US Vogue head Anna Wintour.

"It must be awful for Sienna to see. Anna keeps complaining she is too 'toothy' and the other staff are worried she has too many fillings," a viewer once commented, "The editors hint at Sienna to cut her hair and she ignores them, which worried them even more. It was funny, but probably not for her."

Despite any hard feelings, Miller has agreed to grace the cover of the July issue. There are few things most women wouldn't put up with for a Vogue cover. Nicole Kidman has already donated so many internal organs it's ridiculous. Why else do you think she's on there every five minutes?

David Beckham Demonstrates 'Extreme Beauty In Vogue'

Celebrating the kickoff of the "Extreme Beauty in Vogue" exhibit at Fashion Week in Milan, a David Beckham was just one of many aesthetically-gifted celebrity attendees at the event.

Scarlett Johansson, the face of Dolce and Gabbana's new makeup line, showed off her most recent look of dark auburn locks, pale skin, dramatic eye make-up and bright red lips. Hmm, if I didn't know she were happily married to one Mr. Ryan Reynolds, I might suggest she were looking too steal Evan Rachel Woods' gothic boyfriend Marilyn Manson. But then again, Scarlett's way too old for him.

Looking gorgeous as always, Eva Mendes arrived wearing a bright red dress complete with black sash around her middle. That one knows how to fill out a dress.

Justin Timberlake Brings William Rast Back

I know, the whole "bringing XYZ back" thing is dead and gone, but I'm at a loss for a clever title here. For New York's Fall 2009 Fashion Week, Justin Timberlake and girlfriend Jessica Biel took to the Big Apple to promote the pop star's clothing line with his long-time buddy Trace Ayala.

I'm guessing it's doing well, since it's still around. Justin must know how to sell the shit out of some clothes. Other celebs attending the show were Paris and Nicky Hilton, with Paris probably on the hunt for a possible revenge fuck to show that Benji Madden who's over whom! Anna Wintour was there as well, along with Emile Hirsch and Gerard Butler. Quite the crowd.

Paris Hilton Channels Anna Wintour At Jill Stuart

Feast your eyes on fashion icon/preying mantis impersonator Paris Hilton doing her best Anna Wintour at the Jill Stuart show at Bryant Park last night.

In P. Hilt land, wearing black sunglasses and sitting with a bunch of C-Listers (Michelle Trachtenberg, Amanda Bynes, Jessica Stroup, her sister Nicky) suddenly catapults you into Vogue editor-in-chief status.

Only true fashionistas understand that viewing a collection behind sunglasses helps give each piece the intended, deeper meaning straight from the brain of the designer.

Unfortunately, she looks less fashion forward and more like she's just recovering from an all-night bender. Alas, you gotta love her for trying.

News Bites: 'Gossip Girl' Spinoff Totally Happening

-Initially, rumor had it that star of Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen would be the focus of a spinoff for the CW series. However, Variety claims that a new series in the early stages of development will focus on one of the main nine characters of the show and that an episode from this season's GG will test out the spinoff storyline.

-Rolling Stone reports that Christian alt-rock band Creed are planning a reunion. Lead singer Scott Stapp has dusted off his wife-beater and leather pants and according to their rep, "There have been some talks, but it would be premature to comment on them at this time." Nontheless, a tour in 2009 might be on the horizon. It's what Jesus would have wanted.

-Responding to rumors that she's going to be replaced at her position at Vogue, Anna Wintour told the New York Post, "I have no intention of leaving American Vogue now or in the foreseeable future," reminding us that the expression "my cold, dead hands" appears to be vastly underused these days.

Carine Roitfeld To Replace Anna Wintour?

The rumor that Anna Wintour is planning to step down from her long-time position as All-Powerful Queen of Vogue is getting more mileage now that there are rumblings that her replacement will be none other than French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld.

The change in power is set to take place shortly after ringing in the New Year, according to Gawker. The site reports that the head of Condé Nast Si Newhouse left early for his holiday vacation in Vienna in order to meet with Roitfeld in Paris.

The site also notes that given the current state of the economy, Wintour might have difficulty finding her next gig given that she makes $2 million for her current duties at Vogue.

Hmm, might not be a bad time for her to start putting those notes together for her tell-all. It's about time we heard the devil's side of the story.

Is Anna Wintour No Longer En Vogue?

Rumor has it that the Empress of Vogue herself might be planning to retire her crown. The woman with the blunt bangs and sunglasses, Anna Wintour is reportedly planning to end her reign at the magazine.

A source told Page Six that with Wintour's contract coming to an end, "She's thinking of retiring. She feels she's done it all and had enough."

Even though a rep claims that the rumor is "unfounded," now would be an appropriate time to clutch your pearls, if you have a pair handy.
