Melrose Place is coming back with a vengeance! In celebration of the forthcoming premiere of the revamped series (the show premiere's on September 8th), the stars of the show, plus a few of the other CW stars, hit the red carpet for the Melrose Place Premiere Party.

David Cassidy's daughter, Katie Cassidy, who plays Ella on the show, was a standout on the red carpet in her deep blue sparkly number.

With word that Heather Locklear may be returning to the series, I'm betting that Melrose Place just may outshine The CW's 90210 reboot.

Celebrities always try and keep their face looking fabulous. After all, it's the thing that most people recognize and it's what is going to show up on a huge movie screen. So it's no wonder that they go to great lengths to protect it.

One great way to protect against the harmful rays of the sun? Hats! Celebrities love hats. Wearing hats, buying hats, eating things from hats...probably not the last one, but you get the pictures. Hats are often paired with sunglasses to prevent the paparazzi, but as well as know that usually never works.

We've compiled a list for you of some of our celebrities looking fabulous with a brim atop their head. My personal favorite is the picture of George Hamilton. Yes, he's in the snow, but I love seeing the tanned man, in the cold, wearing a hat.

Although she looked the epitome of sweet perfect at the InStyle Magazine summer soiree, Ashlee Simpson is always such a nice girl, but don't mess with her or you'll get an entirely different side. Gossip blogger Perez Hilton had find out the hard away about Ashlee's angry side when he posted a story on Ashlee getting into a drunken fight with husband Pete Wentz.

When Perez accused Ashlee of being "completely wasted" and questioned whether or not she and Pete were gonna make it, she took to her Twitter account to clear things up. Before tweeting Perez, Ashlee wrote to Pete, "I had so much fun with ur parents last night. Thanx for dedicating the DJ set to me. Love you more magic. I miss u already." As soon as she was done with that, the claws came out for Perez. "When all you do is make up untrue stories -- look in the mirror. Do you even feel human? Karma is a bitch. Your story is WAY off."

Perez seemed unfazed and responded with, "I don't wanna name names and get people fired but several of the people I spoke with work at Angels & Kings. I'm not wrong." Ashlee still wasn't having it, but managed to get the last word in, "WRONG. My husband is an amazing DJ and was dedicating songs to me. We were just havin fun. Our love is amazing. Get ur own life."

Ashlee didn't let the fight spoil her night though. She was joined by some of our favorite people at the event including Twilight stars Noot Seear, Jack Houston and Kellan Lutz. Wait, shouldn't Kellan be in Vancouver? I guess the man needs to get his party on.

I think it's funny that Steven Strait was in attendance, as he was Twilight fans choice to play Jacob Black before being deemed too old for the teenage role. Everyone else at the event looked fabulous in my opinion. I swear, Kellan is getting hotter like by the minute. I didn't find him at all attractive in the first Twilight movie, but looking at him here I just want him to hold me. Any celebs at the event you guys are particularly fond of? Let us know!

It was a date night for Halle Berry and her yummy boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey.

The couple attened the launch of GAP's new 1969 Jean Shop. Theywere all smiles in support of the brand, with the Canadian model in a black baseball cap and his partner's cropped 'do slightly more spiky than usual.

Halle recently spoke out about their relationship stating that despite being parents to daughter Nahla Aubrey, they see no need for marriage.

"Gabriel and I don't look at our relationship in terms of forever, we look at it as right here today."

They weren't the only celebs in attendance. Donald Faison, CaCee Cobb, Ashlee Simpson, Patrick Robson, Joel Madden, Rutina Wesley, Tiffani Thiessen, Molly Sims, Emma Roberts and Anthony Kiedis all ventured out for an evening of chatter and cocktails.

Well it's nice to know that Mischa Barton has a champion in Ashton Kutcher. At yesterday's Television Critics Association press tour, Ashton Kutcher said that "[Mischa] was never unavailable for a day of work...Mischa's in New York working today." Kutcher is the producer of Mischa's show The Beautiful Life.

Ashton went on to day, "The great thing about Mischa for this show is we have a lot of young cast. She's done it before. On The O.C. she was one of the leads in this big soap opera."

He'd also like us to believe that she's not going anywhere. "[Mischa's role] is very prominent. She's one of our lead players."

Seeing that Mischa was out partying in New York City over the weekend, let's just hope she stays a little more focused on the job that's paying her bills.

Melrose Place is hitting the CW this season and everyone is very excited. By everyone I mean those who watched the original show, teen girls who love 90210, and people who are currently on the show.

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello was on hand to bring us his thoughts from Melrose Place summer press tour. All the fun members of the cast were there, including Ashlee Simpson, Laura Leighton, Jessica Lucas, Colin Egglesfield, Dawn Ostroff, Shaun Sipos, and Katie Cassidy. Everyone seems very excited for "New Faces, new drama, same pool."

Ashlee makes quite an impression in the promo for the show, which offers viewers a glimpse as to what the pool has to offer. Original Melrose Place star Laura Leighton says, "There was no downside to coming back and playing [Sydney] again." Although there is a fun murder that gets solved in the first few episodes, (spoiler!) Sydney will be in future episodes, just in flashback mode.

Most of the cast members from the original show have yet to sign on to make an appearance, although the producers did say that if Heather Locklear would want to guest star they would be more than happy to have her. Heather might be fun to have. She's been laying kinda low recently; this could be a nice comeback.

The CW has definitely been making a place for themselves in the teen TV world for remaking Aaron Spelling shows. 90210, Melrose Place, what's next? Personally I'm hoping for either The Love Boat or Dynasty. On second thought, a remake of those might ruin the glory of the original.

Good luck Melrose Place! You all look fabulous so I can't imagine that your show wouldn't be pretty to watch.

Tony Romo who? Jessica Simpson went out for dinner with sister Ashlee Simpson and hairdresser BFF Ken Paves at Katsuya in Hollywood last night. Well, lets just say that Jessica Simpson had on hell of a time.

She looked quite unsteady as she was leaving the restaurant, and had trouble keep her jumpsuit on. Let's hope Ashlee and Ken were able to keep Jessica from drunk dialing Tony.

Melrose Place lives! Finally after months of just hearing that Ashlee Simpson was working on the show we've got a promo video. Who loves promo videos? I love promo videos! She may not be making a Michael Jackson tribute album, but she is busily working on the show.

The show, which premieres on the CW on Sept. 8, is a remake of the popular 90s show of the same name. Ashlee plays Violet Foster who is, according to People, "a small-town girl trying her luck in L.A., who has a "disarming naiveté [that] masks the calculating, shrewd sex kitten within."

Wow. Mommy Ashlee who takes little baby Bronx Mowgli Wentz anywhere he wants to go is playing a calculating, shrewd sex kitten? Huh. This should be entertaining then. Watch the promo and let us know what you think. Some of those Melrose men are pretty sexy.

Oh thank god this isn't true! Page Six reported that Ashlee Simpson's father, Joe Simpson, has pitched the idea of his daughter doing an album featuring covers of Michael Jackson's songs.

Luckily these rumors were quickly put to rest. Ashlee's publicist, Rhett Usry, told Entertainment Weekly, "The [rumors] are completely not true...Honestly I don't know where they're from. This completely fabricated story is very disrespectful to Michael Jackson at a time like this, regardless of whose name you're putting it to. Furthermore, she's in the middle of shooting Melrose Place."

Sure I loved Ashlee back in the day, but if I had the choice between listening to her performing "Bad" or gouging my eyes out with knitting needles, I choose the latter. I mean sure, Ashlee and husband Pete Wentz have been looking pretty swanky lately, but it doesn't mean she's ready for the glory of the sequined glove.

Sporting matching black leather outfits, straight-ironed locks and eyeliner, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz stepped out at the AXE Instinct Power of Leather launch party.

New mom Ashlee, showed off her trim, post-baby figure with a mini-skirt and bustier and high heels, her toes painted a matching black. Pete was more buttoned up, with a zipped-up leather jacket and jeans.

Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush kept their look on the light side, in matching white t-shirts, jeans and black leather jackets.

I'm a little sad to see jet-setting Bronx Mowgli stayed at home. I'm guessing his leather baby onesie was at the cleaners.
