-Kylie Minogue appears to have upgraded from her former flame Olivier Martinez, with a younger, better-looking version of him in 30-year-old Spanish model Andres Velencoso Segura. The two were spotted in the French Alps looking very much like a couple in love. After checking out the massive photo gallery we have of the Latin stunner, you will be too.
-CNN correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta has been offered to position of Surgeon General on President-elect Barack Obama's cabinet. I wonder how the man feels about excessive corncake intake?
-Spencer Pratt claims that the only reason he and Heidi Montag aren't legally married is because he didn't realize it was a legal process. How much you want to bet his ass is filthy because he doesn't realize it's not self-cleaning? Now, the brain cell deficient couple are planning a splashy ceremonyas a follow-up to their Mexican faux-lopement. Spencer told InTouch, "We'll definitely have it on TV because of the fans and haters." Yes, that makes total sense.

Barack Obama Talks Corncake Comas On 'Check, Please!'
Local Chicago WTTW series Check, Please! recovered an episode in which a then state senator Barack Obama appeared. The show featured four diners who stopped by at local restaurants and then gave their two cents about their dining experiences.
President elect Obama chats on the show about his meals at Dixie Kitchen and Bait Shop. The politician espouses his enthusiasm for peach cobbler and corncakes at the Dixie Kitchen, which Barack admits isn't "gourmet cuisine."
But Barack isn't some fancy-pants politician looking for a "fancy presentation or extraordinarily subtle flavors." No, he's a man of the people, who wants to be able to go out to eat at an establishment that wouldn't necessarily frown upon a man whose decided to loosen his belt buckle after inhaling copious amounts of Johnnycakes drenched in butter.
And when you think about it, isn't that the American dream?

News Bites: Kate Beckinsale Wants To Be Jackie Onassis
-She also wants to wear a pair of dark sunglasses. Remember that song? Does anyone else feel the homage thing has been taken a little too far, and we need to move a little more forward in our art direction for photoshoots thinking? Or have all the themes and ideas been used? They have, haven't they? *sigh* The gorgeous Kate Beckinsale's doin' the pillbox hat/climb down the back of the convertible in Dealey Plaza thing in the new issue of Capitol Files magazine (oh, is that the point?). Apparently, Beckinsale's a US citizen now since marrying director Len Wiseman because she had something to say about the president and being able to vote. "I don't care whether [Barack Obama] has a cigarette or not. I think it's just so fantastic we have a president who can finally read. I never planned on living in America [but] if I find myself still here in 10 or 15 years, it would be silly not to be able to vote."
-Aaron Spelling favorite Heather Locklear has copped to a misdemeanor reckless driving charge, but managed to avoid being prosecuted for a DUI. Yay! We like Heather. She makes television better. Heather got three years probation, has to fork over a $700 fine, and has to attend a 12-hour drug education course. Drop the dolls before you drive, Locklear.
-Hot dad Hugh Jackman will NOT be in Steven Soderbergh's high-ass sounding 3D musical about the life of Cleopatra called Cleo. Why? Because it sounds like a homosexual on psychotropics came up with that idea and that never works. Actually, the band Guided By Voices wrote it, and people like them so maybe it will work? I don't know. Jackman actually cited scheduling conflicts as opposed to "nah, dude, that sounds really effed up-sounding and people already think I'm a mary."

Barack Obama Vacations
And he's going to need to rest up before the transition. This country needs some fixin'. It's what we hired you for, dude. Here's Barack Obama enjoying his two-week stay in Hawaii before he briefly returns to Chicago before moving into the White House next month.
Here he is playing golf at the Mid-Pacific Golf Course in Kallua. Is it ok to note that the Prez Elect has spindly legs or does that mean the Secret Service renditions me? Firm abs, though!
He told the press that his first game on Dec. 23 2 was "terrible", and he's played two since then. He also shook some hands, had some lunch and he's also been meeting with military personnel. And he also bid farewell to his grandmother.
Where's Michelle? How come she's not playing? She seems like she'd be better than him. Strong lady.

Barack Obama & His Family Give Their Grandma A Send-Off
Against the background of the lush Hawaiian landscape, Barack Obama and his family gave his late grandmother Madelyn Dunham a proper farewell.
In town for the holidays, Barack and his sister Maya Soetoro-Ng scattered the ashes of their beloved "Toot" into the ocean waves to pay their respects.
Dunham passed away a day before getting to see her grandson elected as President of the United States.

Barack Obama Will Rule The Country With Firm Abs
Before taking on the daunting task of assuming the responsibilities of the next United States presidency, Barack Obama and his family headed on vacation to Hawaii for the holidays.
Wife Michelle Obama preferred to keep her bod under wraps, wearing a brightly-covered sarong while President Elect Obama showed off the fruits of his labors at the gym at an oceanfront estate in Kailua.
Granted, he's no beauty pageant alum like Sarah Palin who's got the legs to prove it, but Barack's physique is still nothing to sneeze out.

News Bites: Tara Reid Might Have A Drinking Problem
-Well, the trouble in Taradise has been determined. It was reported Tara Reid checked into rehab last week and now a source revealed to People, "Tara has a problem with alcohol. It's been at the root of much discomfort between herself and her family and friends." The source was her superhero buddy Captain Obvious.
-Angie Harmon has given birth to her third daughter Emery Hope Sehorn. Harmon, husband Jason Sehorn and their two older girls Avery Grace and Finley Faith are welcoming the "healthy baby girl" to the family.
-Barack Obama's BFF Oprah is planning to make her move to Washington D.C. Page Six claims that the Chicago-based most powerful woman in entertainment has been eyeing a $50 million nine-bedroom Georgetown manse although a source reveals that O hasn't actually set foot in the place.

Rihanna To Sing On Inauguration Night
Rihanna is reportedly in final talks with the Recording Industry Association of America to headline the RIAA's Jan. 20 inaugural charity ball at Ibiza nightclub.
The concert will benefit Feeding America, and the RIAA is looking for donations up to $200,000.
RiRi is one of many artists who are being sought by various organizations to sing at their affairs on Inauguration Night. The Creative Coalition wants Sting and Elvis Costello and the Impact Film Fund is risking its life by hiring Kanye West. Did you see him on SNL? He sounded like something caught in a beartrap.
Does this mean her boyfriend Chris Brown will be there as well, selling milk and gum?

Barack Obama's Inauguration Is THE Party To Attend
Beyoncé Knowles is just one performer who is rumored to be performing at the inauguration ceremony for President Elect Barack Obama on January 20 in Washington D.C.
Knowles has already expressed her availability to perform at the event and now her husband Jay-Z is being mentioned as being on the list of possible performers for the shindig.
Others being teased as possible acts for the evening are Sean Combs, Mary J. Blige and Leona Lewis. In addition, Bruce Springsteen has announced that his upcoming album will be dropping in January 2009, hinting that he might be gearing up for a high-profile surprise appearance.
