GQ Man Of The Year Hotness

While there was enough hotness to go around at the GQ Man of the Year party, the photos from the Man of the Year issue completely sizzle. While you may want to put a bag over Michael Phelps' head (or fantasize that he looks like Ramirez Allender de Miranda Nascimento), but that body. Die!

Featured in the gallery: Jon Hamm, Michael Phelps, Barack Obama, Leanardo DiCaprio, Brandon Flowers and James Franco.

John McCain: Three Martini Thursday

Here's our second installment of THREE MARTINI THURSDAY and this week's recipient is none other than former presidential candidate John McCain.

Regardless of how you may have voted, it was hard not to be moved by his emotional, heartfelt concession speech Tuesday night. He earnestly congratulated President Elect Barack Obama and expressed a desire to help our future president unify the nation to battle the issues our nation is currently facing in the years ahead.

This election season exhausted us and we weren't even running for office. We sincerely hope that John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin will kick off their shoes, curl up on the couch with some Absolutely Fabulous and toast to reaching the end of a long race.

Cheers and squish, squish, dahlings!

Beyonce Does Some Major Posing At MTV Europe Music Awards 2008

Mmm. Is that Beyonce or Sasha Fierce? She changed out of her little black dress and into some rubberized concoction. I'm thinking that Tina Knowles had to be throwing back a few cocktails when she was designing that dress.

Let's hope Beyonce uses a "real" designer if she would happen to sing at Barack Obama's inauguration.

Sean Combs Celebrates Birthday & Election Results

The rally of supporters surrounding Barack Obama at Grant Park Tuesday night was relatively celebrity-free, so now the famous people had a chance to celebrate the election of their chosen candidate.

Sean Combs hosted a bash for his birthday as well as to celebrate the election of the nation's first black president. Coco and Ice-T showed up, with Coco in a revealing snakeskin dress to show off her...patriotism?

Cedric the Entertainer was there, as was an emotionless looking Fabolous. Maybe he was saving all his excitement for inside the party. I LOVE Keyshia Cole's outfit! With her retro ensemble, short curls and red lips, she looks like Josephine Baker--only with tattoos.

And of course, Diddy's buddy Cassie was there. Hmm...

Featured in the gallery: Sean Combs, Mary J. Blige, Jack McBrayer, Coco, Ice-T, Cedric the Entertainer, Fabolous, Kevin Liles, Keyshia Cole, Busta Rhymes, Ne-Yo, Cassie, Pete Wentz, Common, Dallas Austin, Quincy Combs, DJ Cassidy and Anthony Anderson.

Beyoncé Offers Singing Services To Obama

One of the President Elect's celebrity supporters, Beyoncé Knowles has offered to sing for Barack Obama during the presidential inauguration ceremony in January.

Knowles told the Associated Press, "I'm there. I can't wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want--if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready."

She is, in fact, styled and ready to go as you can see from these super-sleek photos from InStyle, on the cover of which she is featured looking all Sasha Fierce and stuff.

Guy Ritchie Drinks While Madonna Performs

Can you spot the coping mechanism? While Guy Ritchie appears to have taken us up on our offer and is drinking away his woes at a pub in London, his future ex-wife Madonna distracted herself from her impending divorce by singing and dancing on stage at a concert in San Diego.

Guy stumbled out of the Punch Bowl pub in Mayfair looking like he'd imbibed one too many pints (and martinis, if he's feeling classy). Friends say it's the custody battle that has the Sherlock Holmes director feeling so frustrated. "It's not Madge's money he wants but the children," a spy told The Sun.

In between songs, Madonna took a moment to express her excitement at the announcement that Barack Obama had been elected president. Yeah, we all forgot that she's not British.

Oprah Parties With President Elect Obama

An early high-profile cheerleader of Barack Obama this election season, talk show host Oprah Winfrey celebrated in Grant Park in her hometown of Chicago. She was joined by a crowd of campaign supporters who included an emotional Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Dressed in a bright green sweater, Winfrey stood out in the sea of red, white and blue flags that waved excitedly as President Elect Obama gave his acceptance speech on stage.

When she has him on her show for an interview, which she undoubtedly will, you just know she'll end the Q&A by saying, "Take a look under your seat Mr. Obama...you're holding the key to Air Force One!" And it really will be the key to Air Force One because she's just that powerful.

Courteney Cox Arquette Throws Party To Celebrate Obama Victory

E! reports that Courteney Cox Arquette and her husband David Arquette threw a party at their Los Angeles home last night to celebrate Barack Obama's historic victory. Guests included Courteney's best friend Jennifer Aniston (minus John Mayer, he probably had a date with the paparazzi), Sacha Baron Cohen, and his fiancee Isla Fisher.

David Arquette reportedly trotted out with champagne for the paps after Obama's win was announced. He was also probably trying to escape Aniston's latest every 20 minutes discussion of how "this is really it" with Mayer and her eternal ponderation of baby names. Even Courteney's probably given to half-hearted listening lately and distractedly nodded "uh huh" while trying to focus on CNN.

Other celebs were on hand in Chicago. As already reported, Oprah Winfrey was front and center for Obama's victory speech, and Brad Pitt was reportedly in Chi-town as well.

George Clooney even released a statement! A statement! Good, because you know we were all waiting on the edge of our seats for his thoughts and feelings.

"I congratulate President-elect Obama on his historic victory, and now it's time to begin unifying the country so we can take on the extraordinary challenges that this generation faces," he said. Clooney claims he didn't campaign for Obama because he thought his fame would interfere. There was really no need to fear that kind of thing after McCain took on the hockey mom.

Barack Obama Makes History As The World Watches

What a night! That kiss! Is anyone else a little awed after being caught in the wake of the tidal wave of goddamn history? Barack Obama, 47, is the first African-American President of the United States! Obama gave his victory speech during a rally of over 240,000 people (including a teary-eyed Oprah Winfrey and Rev. Jesse Jackson) in Chicago's Grant Park last night. "Change has come to America," he said.

"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America -- I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you -- we as a people will get there," our new President Elect said. He's the 44th president, and will be sworn in on Jan. 20.

On the other side, Obama's opponent during the long campaign, Republican Senator John McCain, gave his concession speech in Phoenix yesterday.

"We have come to an end of a long journey. The American people have spoken, and they have spoken clearly," a gracious McCain said.

And now we begin. Don't worry, though. There's going to be a big party first. Oprah Winfrey reportedly told a Chicago radio station yesterday that she's already had her inauguration gown picked out for awhile. Girlfriend can pick the winners. Well, not James Frey.
